Dog Soldiers is up for pre-order at DVDEmpire. $19.98 retail price.
I wish other companies would price their Blu-rays like First Look (I also wish there was a "sigh" smilie I can put here)

HBO has announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of True Blood Season 1 on 19th May 2009. From creator and executive producer Alan Ball, True Blood chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps... where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix. The series is based on the Sookie Stackhouse book series by Charlaine Harris.
Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. Her situation is further complicated when the bar gets its first vampire patron - 173-year old Bill Compton (Steven Moyer) - and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other.
Priced at $79.98 SRP on Blu-ray Disc, extras include:
* BD: Experience Exclusive New Blu-ray features with True Blood Enhanced Viewing:
o Get the dirt on everyone in town with Lafayett
o Find out how your favourite vampires were made
o Read helpful hints and much more!

Eh, even with Amazon discount, it's 55.98. Could we see some Band of Brothers type sale on this set is the question.

Very pleasant surprise to see Paramount releasing this quickly. I'm assuming season 1 sold pretty well for them to do this.

I'd say that rumor will be fact pretty soon. LionsGate's original release was very subpar. And the current disc has been available for a blowout price of $10 for a few months. And of course, that new flick is heading to theaters in May...

Need to check out True Blood first and then think about buying but will be all over a new T2, got rid of the BD awhile back in anticipation of a new release.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
FYI, Amazon.co.uk has many Blu-ray titles for a new low price of £8.98 which were £10.58 or more on their B2G1 Free sale which ends pretty soon. This helps with shipping costs. For example, I put 6 titles into my cart, and all 6 titles shipped would be $10.83 a piece. Not as good as the Buy More Save More, but you also get a much larger selection of popular titles and not-so-popular titles as well.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
Does anyone know if Kingpin has been officially cancelled or delayed?
I still see it on a few release lists for March 3rd, but no online site has it listed. Even though something like Silence of the Lambs isn't on Amazon, I see it several other places, so I'm confident.
Of everything that has come out as with an official date at some point recently, Kingpin is the only one I can't find a listing for and is looking more like Braveheart and My Best Friend's Wedding, although I'm not sure they ever had specific release date, but Kingpin shows 3/3.

I don't know what's happened to Kingpin.
