Yeah, looking at the review here at DVDTalk thats about right. I'm a bit bummed we won't be getting a new commentary with the Corey's since they seem to be all the rage now (on A&E!). Hopefully they can muster up some new deleted scenes.

It would be nice if they could just include a download code without having to include an extra disc.

Edit: Nevermind. They want $179.99 MSRP for that edition. PASS.

I wonder if BD-25 is enough for The Lost Boys. I guess it is since it's only 97 minutes, but there are about 90 minutes of supplements too. I suppose those won't take up much space if they're VC-1 though.

By way of comparison, Fox has published 31 of my 93 DVDs on Blu-Ray (33%), and Warner 39 of my 105 DVDs (37%).

Columbia Tri-Star is Sony.
So, let's look at it like this: Sony has not announced Glory, Leon, Snatch, or Taxi Driver but have announced Maximum Risk, Half Past Dead, 7 Seconds, and xXx: State Of The Union.

Out of my 34 standard Sony DVDs, I was able to replace 29 with a Blu-Ray. That means only 5 of my favorite Sony DVDs have yet to receive a Blu-Ray upgrade (Fish Called Wanda, Ronin, Ghostbusters, Pink Panther Strikes Again and Revolver). That's a pretty damn good % if you ask me (85%).

Well, in Sony's defense, Amazon.com do need more titles for their two for one sales.

Columbia Pictures
Columbia Pictures Film Prod. Asia
Columbia Tristar
Columbia Tristar Home Ent
Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment
Columbia Tristar Home Vid
Columbia Tristar Home Video
Columbia/Tristar
That doesn't include the entries for Sony, Revolution Studios, and some others, of course. Many titles have more than one closely related entity listed though, such as those with both Columbia Pictures (the film studio) and CT Home Video (the video division).

Any word on specs for the Jack Ryan movies?
I'm curious as to whether the DVD extras will be ported over on this version or if they'll be feature-free like the HD-DVD releases.

Most likely Jack Ryan will be a port of the HD DVD version, so no extras (or whatever was on the recalled HD DVD versions)
Good news on The Mist. Now I just need 1408 and Halloween.

Confirmation on all the Jack Ryan films:
"Back when I first posted that Paramount would be releasing 'Patriot Games' and 'Sum of All Fears' on Blu-ray, I was flooded with questions about whether or not they would also be releasing the other two films in the now canceled 'Jack Ryan Collection'. Word from the studio has finally come down, and Paramount Home Entertainment has revealed that they will also bring 'The Hunt for Red October' and 'Clear and Present Danger' to Blu-ray on July 29th, the same date as the previously announced Jack Ryan films."

And it appears these won't be barebones like the HD DVD versions, and will include the slim dvd extras.

I've posted cover art for Patriot Games in the Paramount thread. It contains TrueHD audio. No doubt the others will as well. Paramount is making up big time for their decision last August.

^Cool, but I hope they're releasing them individually so I don't have to buy the fourth one or the remake. Or, I hope the set just contains the trilogy.
Edit: I saw on AVS that it has the remake (as Disc 1, for some reason) and then the trilogy. I think they will put them out separately, since most of those who like the remake would already have it. It was even one of the handful of titles they reduced in price IIRC.
