I see now that it's been cleared up that the HD version will have the same features as the 2-disc SD for this film; but I'm going to have to agree with DarthMarino and RyoHazuki that the focus of the Hi-def formats are for better picture and sound not for fucking SD people out of features. I'm making no plans for upgrading because I frankly don't see the point and the studios pulling shit like this is making me want to adapt to change even less.

Anyway, back on topic, I cannot wait for this release!

I just saw this...holy shit this could be uttered in the same breath as Citizen Kane. I mean wow what an extraordinary piece of work. As much as I liked No Country For Old Men, this one totally smokes it. I was speechless after this was over. If there was any doubt at how amazing Daniel Day-Lewis is, or if P.T. Anderson didn't have "it", that can end right now. Again wow!

Well, I'm glad Paramount isn't screwing over the SD people.
Still, I'll wait for the (hopefully) eventual BD version.

Wow. Haven't seen this yet, but the cover art for the 2-discer is amazing.

High-Def Digest is now reporting that Paramount has officially pulled the plug on the HD-DVD. Very poor decision.

The film has dissappeared from the schedule completely right now (DVD and HD DVD) - I'm trying to find out what's going on!

Wow. That just made the "should I just buy it now or wait" decision a whole lot easier. Awesome.

The trailer mentioned above says it's coming exclusively to Blu-Ray.

Not 100% if it's been pulled or not. It was only announced Paramount pulled specs for it and the SD releases until March 4th. Whether or not it returns to their site on that date remains to be seen.

Very Nice! That photo of the 2-disc packaging confirms which version I'll be blind buying.

Really, really nice.

I wish more studios would wise up with their whole Slipcovers deal. Rather than just duplicate the same art twice, do something like this...

Very nice. I may have to get that 2-disc to tide me over till the blu-ray is released.

Damn damn damn.

First The Mist and now this.
I really wish I didn't have to buy standard dvds of films I love anymore, but I guess I'll have to make exceptions and re-buy in the future (even though I hate doing that).

Same here. I'm a sucker for nice packaging and this certainly falls into that category.
