I hadn't seen it before, and I enjoyed it right up to just before the end. I guess I'm just not "with it" enough anymore to even know why the guy supposedly being Batman is supposed to be. ???

There are exceptions to that. I hadn't pre-ordered online in years but pre-oredered Batman Begins from Amazon as they had it for $15.xx which was was $4 or so cheaper than any stores around here. Plus I had a GC to use on it.

But otherwise I agree, and never buy anything online anymore exept rare deals like that or the DDD 20% off sales.

Ah, thanks! No correction slip, nor reprint of the valid info on mine--does that make mine an even more rare rare version of a rarity?

Let's hope that I can find a copy today or I'll have to wait on the eventual re-release sans comic book (which is fine, but the collector in me is quite dissatisfied )
Apparently, you can still get the version with the comic book from bn.com:

I was at Best Buy in Metairie, Louisiana the other day and I saw they had many Deluxe Editions in stock. However, they didn't have the slip case or the comic book.

My bad (my morning caffeine must not have kicked in yet on that first post); I looked at the comic again and have no correction slip, but apparently I do have a corrected reprint with the valid writer/artist info.

Well crap... so much for eBay

No one else seems to want to say what the uncorrected text is.

The Circuit City in Louisville, KY (Shelbyville Rd.) had around seven copies of the DE w/comic book left. Just a heads up for anyone still looking.

Guess the corrected them early on as well. I had mine pre-ordered from Amazon and it arrived on the 19th and mine has writer as Finger and artist as Kane.

Dang, how did I miss it? Sometimes the post pointer will advance too much.

Thanks for the info. I thought maybe they listed totally different names or something. I guess a proofreader needs to be fired

When did Finger start getting a byline? Not that he doesn't deserve it, I'm just curious as to when this changed.

Finger had MUCH more to do with the making of Batman as he exists today than Kane ever did... it's about time...

Do people really think this is a 'rarity' that's going to be worth lots of money? It's only been on the streets for 2 weeks and there are still copies to be found in the stores if you want to look. Some of the fanboys seem to think they have the next Salo in their hands.....

I can see your point, but on the other hand, why aren't comics packaged with cereal worth much, or other mail-away reprints? Like someone else mentioned in this thread, you could get the original comics (with the obvious exception of Detective #27) for a decent price still I believe, so why buy the reprints. And also as previously mentioned, these stories are abundantly available in many reprints already, thus, the comics themselves are not rare at all. Sure, the DVD comic is in itself it's own thing, but if it sells for money down the road, it'll only be to the rare few, and certainly not the average collector.

Just my opinion.

Depends how many have the credits backwards in the comic.

Like I said, I preordered from Amazon and got it the day after release date and mine was correct.

So it's not like the whole first shipment had the mistake in the comic. So it may be pretty rare.

Not necessarily. Depends on the author credits in the comic book. Some are correct, some are not. The incorrect ones are the ones that have the potential to be rare.
