As a comic collector, I can guess that it won't be worth more than a buck or two. Essentially the cost any fan would be willing to pay if they couldn't get ahold of the comic in the first run...

I just got mine from Costco, in an oversize theft protection case, with comic book (incorrect credits) and no correction slip -- whatever that means.
If they're truly re-releasing this DVD, they should completely re-do the menus on Disc 2. They are one of (if not THE) most annoying, anti-intuitive and downright lame menu designs I've ever endured. Not to mention the completely uninspired menus on the Batman Anthology discs suck hard as well. Another reason I'm not a big fan of Warners. This could have been an Alien Quadrilogy/Lord of the Rings-quality set. Now, it's not even close.

I haven't experienced any issues with mine. I got it via Amazon, pre-ordered a few days prior to the release. I also saw it in the Best Buy in Boston (near Fenway) on release day, but there were no more than 5 or 6 copies and that was at about 4:30. The next day the 2-disc DE was gone, and they only had the single-disc version.

Just an FYI, Barnes & Noble online is still selling the one with the comic and I found a lenticular version at Best Buy today. It rang up as $19.99 and I used $3 Best Buy bucks for a $16.99 purchase price.

Mine didn't have a correction slip but looks like they had reprinted the comic book with the correct info. I'm curious what the inside cover says on the ones that came with the correction slip.

I have a question! What is the purpose of pre-ordering DVDs. Why wait until they are officially released, and just purchase them instantaneous online, or from a B&M store. This will eliminate many obstacles with the order, and disgrunted buyers, because technically, your not going to receive the DVD no faster until the release date anyway. I've never pre-order my DVDs, too much of a hassle.

2) Cheaper price/exclusive swag for pre-orders
3) No hassle with going to the store and not finding it, then going to more stores.

I don't see the big deal in getting it a day early. Everyone's going to have it that wants it eventually. While it's a minor perk, it's essentially meaningless. In addition, who supplies better incentives, on a pre-order, than B&R's the day of the release? "Batman Begins" in particular, 3 B&M's ran promotions across the country. E-Tailers didn't, did they? That's usually the case for most movies.
Lastly, the hassle? C'mon. Sticking with "Batman Begins" in particular, a movie this popular, barring a recall for some reason, would be EASILY accessible, and more than likely cheaper in a store than online.
Case in point, I pre-ordered "Cannibal Holocaust" and "Bird With the Crystal Plumage", and rightfully so. They're obscure titles that more than likely WON'T be carried by any retail store. And for my point on pricing; Amazon.com had both films for $19.48 on Monday night when I placed my order. Tuesday morning, when I recieved my invoice, the price jumped almost a dollar. The following Wednesday, they were both listed for $22.48. So, e-tailers prices do indeed change, and there's no price guarantee or matching with them as there are in the regular retail outlets.
I don't see any real advantage to pre-ordering mainstream titles online, personally.

I've seen the question before and the examples I gave were some of the usual responses from people who do it on a regular basis.

I picked up the 2-disc set with lenticular cover tonight. It cost me 19.99 plus tax at Best Buy. The same price they were charging for the 1-disc set. That was an awfully tough decision on which one to get.

So unfortunate, I had absolutely no time to get out and buy this over the course of the week and when I did, I opted to go to Borders for books for the kids.
Let's hope that I can find a copy today or I'll have to wait on the eventual re-release sans comic book (which is fine, but the collector in me is quite dissatisfied
