When HD-DVD drops, Upconverting players will probably what everyone shoots for, given the price tag on the actual players is inflated like when the VCR and DVD players first debuted. Besides, given people just stash these away as collectibles, as I am doing, their playability isn't a factor. If not DVD enthusiasts, the book would be worth *something* to comic collectors.

Did all of the 2 disc versions have a slipcover? I just purchased a 2 disc version at Circuit City in Chico, CA, but no slip cover. None of the 2 disc version there had a slipcover, but they did have the lithograph.

Or wait..
By DISC problem, you don't mean that there is a problem with the subtitles, or there are audio synch problems. You mean if there is some video content included, say, a short documentary, that will be pulled from future release?

Well, I placed an order at Amazon for the DE @ 15.98 or whatever it was. Anyways, I ordered that, the Lost book and the upcoming season of the Simpsons [so if I found the DE cheaper somwhere else, I could just cancel the entire order without it shipping]. I ended up buying it at BB with the slipcover using a RZ cert and a McD's Monopoly piece. So then I saw this thread and decided to cancel the Simpsons set to let the order go through. After this realization, I came across the original Batman Begins DE Amazon thread and saw that people were posting that BB DE wasn't listed anymore or that their orders were cancelled. I figured "what the hell" and went ahead and cancelled the Simpsons. A day later I was sent an email stating that my order of Batman Begins and Lost had shipped.
So now I have an extra copy of the HTF, Rare and OOP Batman Begins DE. If anyone needs/wants it, i'm going to put it up on eBay with a starting bid of ONE BILLION DOLLARS.

Found 1 copy w/ the lenticular cover today at a BB. This was in McKinney, TX. The girl working there told me that they had a whole bunch at another store (LBJ and Midway), so I drove there to pick up a couple more.
When I got there, they did still have about 20 copies on the shelf (in the alphabetized section), but none of them had the lenticular covers. They were just the standard packaging.

Bestbuy in Tracy, cal had over 25 copies of the lenticular cover at 19.99. They were in the alphabitzed section. they also had another 25 of the regular deluxe cover. They had so many in fact I was beginning to doubt how "out of print" this truly was.

1) 2 Disc SE w/ Comic - Incorrect Credits
2) 2 Disc SE w/ Comic - Incorrect Credits w/ Correction Slip
3) 2 Disc SE w/ Comic - Incorrect Credits & BB Exc. Cover
4) 2 Disc SE w/ Comic - Incorrect Credits w/ Correction Slip & BB Exc. Cover
5) 2 Disc SE w/o Comic & w/o Slipcase/Slipcover
I'd assume all releases with comic books have been halted indefinately in lieu of a 2 Disc SE in a gateway. That would suggest that the sets with comic books are the most desirable, especially those with the white correction slip, as well as the lenticular slipcased Best Buy editions.
If ANYONE can vouch that ANY of these exist, it would really clear things up.
I've heard lately that Best Buy is receiving the plain 2 disc sets now. Has anyone purchased a Best Buy lenticular covered edition WITH the corrected credits? Given the gimmick cover was a first run promotion, I'd assume they all have the incorrect credits, and possibly the slip, unless the error wasn't caught until after initial shipments were made.

I preordered from Amazon. On release day I went into Best Buy and saw the awesome lenticular cover. I was really looking forward to get it, not realizing that it was a Best Buy Exclusive. So two days later my copy from Amazon comes and I was very disappointed. So I went back to Best Buy on Friday to get their Exclusive. Of the 50 or 60 they had - nothing left. They said they'd get a new shipment on the next Tuesday. So I went back this Wednesday. They had ONE copy of the exclusive left. So I bought the exclusive and then I sent my wife back in with the Amazon copy to return it. So I got the exclusive for $15.98.
Cinemaddiction: Yes, my Best Buy Exclusive has the correction slip.

From DavisDVD:
If you've been to a store or checked online recently, you've probably noticed that Batman Begins: Deluxe Edition is getting harder and harder to find. Well, there's a reason for that. According to a couple sources, the collectible 72-page comic book that came packaged with the two-disc set was a limited item. However, another source claims that there was a rights issue with the comic and that it was pulled after the initial batch of discs went to retail. I don't know how much credence there is to that last one, since DC Comics and Warner Bros reside under the same corporate umbrella. In either case, it looks like the two-disc set is being reissued by Warner Home Video sans comic book. Batman Begins: Special Edition - as it's now listed on WHV's site with a new UPC (012569766778) and a slightly lower SRP ($29.95) - is being shipped out and should be in stores soon.

By one measly dollar less--whoop de doo. Hel, I could give a flip about comic books and even I'd be willing to admit that comic is worth more than a dollar. Glad I got it when I did, and from Best Buy with the lenticular cover, so I own an even more rare subsection of a rarity.
