From what I can make out, the content of the first bullet is, R2-D2 & C-3P0's chronicles of Luke and Anakin Skywalker.

The second bulllet says, Almost ?? minutes of additional content. Can't tell what the number is. Anyone's guess.

As for where to purchase, I want to see what Best Buy is offering before I make a final decision. But I have a tradition with Best Buy, and even though this bonus disc looks cool, and is tempting, Wal-Mart is by no means my shop of choice. Not for things like this. I'll see.

Looking more and more like a boxed set of all three prequels is not going to happen. No biggie, though. I wanted that at one point, but now that some copies of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones come in one kind of case, while others come in a somewhat differing style, I would prefer to look over each case to make sure all three are consistent. Can't do that if they're sealed together in a box.

That's what I see too.

I just can't believe they are charging $10 more for a "bonus" DVD.

Maybe it's that video loop Wal-Mart had on the monitors in the toy section when RotS first came out? I believe it had Anthony Daniels narrating scenes from the saga.

And digitalbits gets that right from WM's website. They've updated it.

I can't imagine how many pre-orders they got on this thing.

Damn it as much as I hate paying Walmart for this extra stuff, it looks like that is where I am going to have to buy it.

Just saw this. A 60-minute documentary. Okay. Interesting.

This is obviously going to bring a lot of people into Wal-Mart, including those who would rather not shop there. Makes me wonder how Best Buy is going to compete.

Where I come from, there is no Wal-Mart so I had to order online.

Wondering what to do since I usually get my copies here in the city weeks before they hit shelves.

Hmmmm...I wonder.

Best Buy had "R2-D2: Beneath The Dome" with Episode II but you could also buy it seperately.

Right--well, be it a brick-and-mortar or the web site, Wal-Mart is likely to get some extra business because of this.

A lot of us may be stopping at Wal-Mart and Best Buy on Nov 1. Wal-Mart has an exclusive on The Story of Star Wars, but Best Buy has one on the Office Space gift set. Still not sure how to handle this. Passing up an hour documentary on the whole Star Wars story doesn't seem like a valid option.

But doesn't Best Buy allow you to buy their bonus discs without purchasing a DVD? They're only free when you buy them and a DVD on the same receipt.

Or maybe you can collect additional bonus discs for a fee, but you can't just buy one without an accompanying DVD. Not sure how that works.

No. You have to buy the movie to get the disc.

Bestbuy will usually have the bonus disc INSIDE the actual packaging...but Walmart will have each disc individually wrapped (in my experience) and also wrapped outside as well. So...say...you wanted to return that unwrapped version of the movie to...say...a wal-mart for store credit...that might be an option. Not that I'd advocate such a thing.

BB did sell the Seinfeld bonus disk separately, w/o DVD purchase.

None of mine have ever been sold separately. They've all been packaged together either inside the amaray case.

But again...this is all BS speculation at this point. no reason to think that Best Buy will even get a bonus disc.

Well someone on another forum is saying that Best Buy is also going to have a bonus disc that is going to be packaged with the DVD. Notice should come up in 2 weeks.

Hmm, for Ep 2, my wife and each hit the TRU and the BB to get multiple copies. Made Christmas shopping easier that year.

Someone on theforce.net forums says that Best Buy will have an exclusive lithograph. It's really doubtful that Fox and LucasFilm would have two competing retailers each getting exclusive DVD content. I don't think that's ever happened before. Can anyone think of a single instance when two retailers each had exclusive discs for the same exact product on the same day?

I think it was mentioned earlier in this thread, but when Die Another Day was released, Best Buy and Circuit City had different exclusive DVDs.

You didn't have to buy a copy of "Die Another Day" to get "Bond Girls Are Forever".

GuruTwo you are correct, but the stores have been getting a little smarter recently. Most of the bonus discs are now sealed together. I believe Media Play (and their sister stores Suncoast & Sam Goody) also had a third bonus disc for Die Another Day. Walmart had a sampler cd from the Best of Bond.

Regardless, I think it is highly unlikely that more than one retailer will get a bonus DVD. I'm sure that most (if not all) of the major retailers will have some sort of exclusive bonus but I imagine they will all be varied. The rumor about Best Buy having a lithograph sounds very believable.
