They've changed the lighting scheme, not to mention the chair. It looks like the light is coming from higher now, and the chair seams are different.

The new version is probably 100% CGI so it makes sense that the lighting and chair are different. Given the nature of lighting in films there's no saying that the lighting angle on the puppet is "correct" and that the CGI lighting is "incorrect". Given the sophistication and precision of CGI I'm confident that the shadow cast by the virtual light is accurate to where said virtual light was placed within the animation.

Yoda is now CGI. The movie is the same. The shadow is in almost the same place. Elementary physics, that means the lighting is the same. Just no ear.
Closer look reveals that the lighting is actually more in front on the CGI version, not the other way around. (witness the reflections, not the shadow) Yet the shadow is more to the right and has no ear. I hope it's not a final, assuming something like that makes its way into the HD DVD version someday, it would be nice if it was correct since they brag about their skills over at Lucasfilm.
Hmm, edit 2:
When I look at the chair, the opposite appears true from the facial reflections. I guess I have nothing better to do tonight. It would be nice if there was SOME lighting consistency in either of those photos.

By the way, according to someone at MF.com, there are 6 deleted scenes.
Shaak Ti killed by Grievous
Rebellion meeting in Bail's office
Rebellion meeting in Padme's apartment
Rebellion confront Palpatine
A Plot to destroy the Jedi (as referred to on Hyperspace)
Exiled to Dagobah (YES it's true!)
According to him, the Yoda/Dagobah scene is short.
- pod approaching planet
- pod entering atmosphere
- wide shot of Dagobah clearing with pod landing
- door opening and Yoda looking depressed

I still wish baby Luke somehow could have made the trip down to Dagobah with Yoda. It wouldn't have made any sense at all (why land on the planet when you can just send down a pod?), but it would have tied into the line from Empire ("there's something familiar about this place"), which would have been cool.
(Why they decided to change the good Artoo line ("you're lucky you don't taste very good") to a worse one ("you're lucky to get out of there"), but leave the "something familiar" line in, seems like a strange choice to me.)
I guess that just being on board the Tantive as it dropped Yoda off was enough for Luke to be "familiar" with the planet some twenty-years later. . .

Hopefully this is true. I really wanted to see that scene in the film. Also I think they need a Qui-Gon/Yoda scene somewhere in there as well.

That was one of the mixes for the original release.
Thanks for the info.

You folks keep thinking too literally, same with Leia remembering her mother. They're using The Force. Yoda mentions it on Degobah, thru the Force you will see the future... old friends, long forgotten. Also "long have I watched over this one" , Luke remembers Degobah thru Yoda's connection, Leia remembers Padme thru her connection to the Force (subtle as it may be). Also, Luke says "like something out of a dream".
As for the QuiGon-Yoda scene, if we can give that list from MF.com any creedence, the fact that it's not one of the listed deleted scenes makes me think George realized how clunky that scene was without it, and is re-inserting it into the actual movie. Just my two cents.

As far as Leia remembering her mother, I'm gonna chalk that up to plain old revisionist history. Back then, I'm sure George had some idea of baby Leia living with her mother for a time, while Luke was taken off to Tatooine soon after he was born. But obviously, now things have changed, and now the line just doesn't make sense. If Leia felt a connection with her mother "through the Force," then Luke should have, too, but even moreso, since he had much more knowledge and usage of the Force at that time.

And Yoda watching Luke "through the Force" wouldn't necessarily mean that Luke would subconsciously become familiar with Dagobah. If Luke was familiar with Dagobah through the Force, then he would have also been familiar with Yoda, and he didn't know who in the hell Yoda was until Yoda sprung it on him.

I interpret the line pretty much the way milo described. Either Luke had already begun experiencing Force "visions" when he was a boy, without really understanding what they are, and perhaps had seen Dagobah in dreams, or it was just the result of Yoda reaching out his thoughts to "check up" on the boy.

Two, maybe with all the bragging you do for them, it gets drowned out.

With little over a month left until release, Lucasfilm has finally revealed full details about the Star Wars: Episode III DVD bonus materials. The centerpiece of the two-disc set will be "Within a Minute," a newly produced documentary that delves into the complexity of creating a single 49-second sequence from the film. From pre-production artists to costume designers, from camera operators to make-up artists, from sound designers to musicians, "Within a Minute" showcases the massive amount of work that goes into one short sequence. This one-of-a-kind journey was created from more than 600 hours of material gathered throughout the process of making "Revenge of the Sith" and is hosted by producer Rick McCallum.
Other bonus features include a newly recorded audio commentary featuring George Lucas, Rick McCallum, Rob Coleman, John Knoll and other key members of the movie's crew, two brand-new featurettes -- "The Chosen One" and "It's All for Real" -- that look at Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader and the creation of the amazing stunts in the climactic lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi, newly completed deleted scenes (including Yoda's arrival on the swamp-planet of Dagobah) with introductions by Lucas and MacCallum, the fifteen-part web documentary series, poster and print campaigns, "A Hero Falls" music video, trailers and 15 TV spots, two playable levels from "Star Wars Battlefront II," Battlefront II and "Star Wars: Empire at War" game trailers and DVD-ROM weblinks with exclusive material. Look for the set on November 1st.

I certainly hope so. The lack of that scene was my only major gripe with the movie.
