Kinda disappointing about the VHS thing. I have four VHS trilogy sets (blue holo box, small SE box, and two THX boxes) and the TPM WS box. Even though I fought since day one to have SW on DVD, I kinda always assumed there would be at least a token VHS release. When AOTC didn't get a WS release, even overseas anywhere, I kinda figured that was it.

I won't even start on the subject of collecting the laserdiscs....

I dont think they ever released the last volume of Clone Wars on dvd, so maybe the're planning on packaging that with Clone Wars Vol. 1 and packaging that with Ep III, and packaging THOSE with Ep 1 and 2, THEN packaging with the OT...

THEN with the special editions of the prequels, then with--

Can somebody let me borrow some money?

I figured there would probably be a boxed set of all three prequels streeting with the individual release of Revenge of the Sith, but I'm not so sure of that anymore. There's been no official word of that; only speculation. Those who have reported a prequel set on Nov 1 have also reported a set of all six the same day, and we all know that's not about to happen. So I think it's fair to say that there is no actual reason to believe it as yet. But then, there is still time.

Nice...too bad they'll jack up the price on the one that comes with the 'bonus disc'. All other stores give the bonus discs away for FREE, and yet Walmart seems to charge $5-10 more.

Can anyone actually read what's on the bonus disc, and how long it is?

I don't know, Wal-Mart has always been pretty good about the Star Wars prices, hopefully they'll follow suit.

Wasn't there a VHS available years ago from Corn Pops called The story of Star Wars? It was OT only though, maybe this is an update.

Here's what I'm hoping for on the disc: On the 2000 VHS re-release of the OT there was a little promo that included scenes from the OT and Ep 1 set to Duel of the Fates that showed some of the parallels in the four films. It's a nicely edited little "short film", I've been begging the fates for this to be released on DVD since the Ep1 DVD. I've been disappointed so far, here's to hoping.

So Wal*Mart get the bonus disc PLUS they'll probably have as an exclusive the figure 3-packs.

I better start saving now.

Re: Wal-Mart Bonus Disc Content

That art and title looks suspiciously like a series of VideoNow (or similar kids-type video player) titles that were released around the time of Episode II.

Having never seen those titles personally, these may just be of series of clips from all the films minus Episode III with intros from C-3p0 and R2-D2. Some -- if not all -- of these clips I think appeared in the US and UK during TV broadcasts of Episode I.

If they actually charge MORE, then it isnt a BONUS disc, unless you're getting it for free.

I dont usually go for these, as they're usually promo material that's mostly fluff that I would never get if I was charged for it.
Has anyone ever gotten a bonus disc that was more than 30 minutes of material?

They've always charged about $5 more for the bonus discs. The regular discs without the bonus dvd usually sells for $14.99

Arrrggghhh! Wal-Mart is the one store that is no where near me. I have a good 90-minute round trip if I'm going to get this. Damn!

What are the chances of the bonus disc being available at Sam's Club? Sam's is owned by Wal Mart and I've seen them carrying titles with bonus discs before (Alexander, The Aviator, etc.) and most of them are about the same price as the regular edition.

Wasn't aware wal-mart charged more for bonus disc bundles.

In that case, fuck it. I'll get it at Best Buy or Circuit City as usual.

No they haven't. I recently picked up the Ring 2 along with the bonus disc and it was the same $15 price as the one w/o the bonus disc.

They are a big YMMV, I have heard of some lucky people say that their Walmart did not charge for the bonus disc. In my market they always charge for it. It is usually $5 for it.

My area WM's charged for the Ring Two bonus disc package. I never picked it from there, so I'll just wait till I find it used or something.

I see the words C3P0 and R2D2 and anakin. It's probably the intros from FOX that someone else mentioned. Problem is that this isn't really the "story of Star Wars" unless they did another one for ROTS and are adding that on.
