Must be nice to have the power to just, one day, say "Oh, let's delay a DVD release because we MIGHT be able to sell a few more if we sit on them for a few months".
If they are waiting for Big Fish's performance at the Oscars, they really should be releasing it now to ride on the popularity of the film.
But who knows, I might not be making any sense right now because I'm so pissed.

I don't think this has a thing to do with Big Fish. I don't think that many people see/care about any correlation between Big Fish and Ed Wood and those that do are smart enough to purchase individual films when they merit purchase - nothing more.

If you're looking for an NTSC bare-bones version to tide you over until it's released, the R2 Japanese version had a recent price drop to 1980 yen (about $17)

This title is filled now in my account over at DVD Pacific so they must have received some. They usually don't ship though until a week or so before street date so I do hope mine still gets shipped!

I found about 8 copies today. It was unbeievable. They were marked $30.00, but it was on sale for $19.99. Me and my brother bought all eight after reading this thread. The DVD is amazing. The picture is crisp and clear. I havent gotten to the extras yet, but this was defintly worth the money. .

Also, I'd strongly recommend to anyone with a Coconuts, Strawberries, or fye near them to check to see if they go out early. Often times product is NOT held until street date due to managers without a clue.
