Yeah, looks like the golden age of code sharing may be drawing to a close. just remember, you can use different credit cards on the same code in some instances (not the texted ones). As far as people saying it's only a dollar, that's true. But i look at it this way -- Blockbuster is like what, 5 bucks for a rental? Free rentals make me feel not as guilty about my DVD collecting addiction.

If anyone has a free redbox code from text message that they won't use, please send me a private message. I don't want a code that's been posted publicly because it could be used by the time I get to the machine.

Check www.blockbusterexpress.com for updates on movie kiosks in your area. I didn't think we had them in our area yet, but we have 6 of them now. A lot of the coupons for BBX work so try them out.

I got an email from Redbox about new releases, but it also had a banner adverting that certain kiosks are offering Blu-Ray rentals.

Here's the locator to see if you may have a local one.

None in my area, but maybe this will be of help to others.

I've picked up a couple of BDs at a local Redbox. It only charged me a buck apiece.

Found Green Zone on blu-ray at a local Redbox. First blu-ray I've seen. Since I just recently got a new credit card I tried one of the old codes, and it worked. It took a dollar off, but still charged me fifty cents. I don't know if this was a mistake or they're charging $1.50 for blu in my area. It could be a mistake because once I was charged $1.25 for a dvd and then later got an e-mail stating it was a mistake to be charged more. I'll have to check my credit card statement to see what's going on.

At BBX i used GT18A and G418A successfully the last 2 days. Supposedly these are the only 2 working codes now.

BBX seems to be more aggressive with codes. I am thinking that we will see codes from them until all the kiosks are in place. Then we will see a dropoff. Like redbox, no more new codes.

Something's a little glitchy with their promo now--I entered in a code to see what would happen. It led me to a login page, but my password wasn't recognized. I opened up another browser window and logged in with no problem. Oh well, I may come back to it in a bit.
