Most codes on coupondad are older but check site for new codes to pop up
Redbox Codes: Text In Codes Information
* These are the current Redbox codes you can text to 727272 to get free or discounted rentals. Once you text in the keyword you will either get a code right back or a reply that you will get it soon depending on the promotion details. Standard text rates do apply. The Redbox code you get back will be a one time use code specific to you. Usually they are valid for a week from when you get it, but check the text for the exact expiration date.

When applying text codes, GatorDeb, CardsFan111 etc. mentioned to text STOP to no. 727272 and resubmit code and that may allow free movie code to appear. Try that.
The easiest way to rent is to reserve your movies online first at Redbox.com. Then just go to the kiosk and hit the Pick Up Online Reservation button and slide your card. Nice! Also make sure to sign up for the text alerts, you will get random discounts and even free movie rental codes from time to time. Standard text rates apply though so if you still have a limited amount of texts on your plan make sure you consider that. They usually send about 5 to 10 a month.
Also check for codes at end of pages on this thread.
And thanks everyone for dumping unused codes on this thread. Priceless.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Trevor started a thread over a year ago here that usually drops off the first page since new codes come out rarely. Now that the monday codes are issued just once a month, activity has signifacantly dropped.
You've gathered together codes that haven't been consolidated recently and that's useful. Thanks.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Thanks again Pilot. I will update often. I would daily but the codes are slow it seems. What everyone can do in the meantime is set up an emailer account on www.redbox.com . I have had great success with this redbox so I am hoping you all the same. If anyone finds new codes please post. Thanks again.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Give me a consistent deal other than redbox. We all have reasons why we hit rentals more than buying dvds. Some of us have little money so a free movie once in awhile can be a good thing. I have used 4 of the above codes. I am hoping more to come. If not, @ least this was helping for awhile. Good luck.

Thanks for making the thread a "sticky"
I support Redbox 100%,love that they give out a free code once a month now.
I just hope in the near future they add more good movies to their boxes.:-)
Also I can't understand why people who use redbox don't get on their their email with Redbox and also redboxinsider.
I just got sent two free codes(one use) from Redbox by email.
thanks Redbox.

Pilot, can you copy my post back into the thread you closed please?
Many people don't notice stickys, and might as well keep it there for people who subscribe/bookmark it, instead of making people click to another thread.
Not sure why we needed a new thread, or to have either one stickyed. We always bumped the old one whenever anyone found a working code.

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Well, most people have more than one credit/debit card and each code can be used once per card and I've also found out that one time use VISA rebate cards (from FYE, Staples etc.) work even if they are empty (as long as they have not expired).

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Redbox has apparently changed things up.
Today's code can not be shared.
Edit to add:
/thread
And wm lopez, just wondering, but is it supposed to be funny, asking for the code every month? I'm confused.

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Trevor, I was nearly 100% sure you were joking...but then I just received my text code with the indication that it was one-time use and can't be shared.
I'm disappointed. Even though I have a code, I usually get 2 movies using different credit cards. Guess I could sign up using my wife's cell phone if I wanted another code bad enough.
Edit to add: And you're right on this thread. It will cease to be useful if it becomes the norm for all codes to be one time use. There would be no sense even in folks posting unused codes since lurkers and the like would pounce on them.

But we have told you countless times that there is absolutely no need to ask. We always post the code immediately upon receiving it. And yet you keep ignoring us and ask every month.

And in this case it will be even more aggravating, with people wasting time and gas driving to a redbox.
We should all continue to post any universal codes we come across of course.
