Redbox and Blockbuster Express Codes Thread
Updated 12-9-2019
http://www.insideredbox.com/redbox-codes/ http://www.coupondad.net/redbox-codes/ http://www.coupondad.net/redbox-codes/redbox-codes-101/ Most codes on coupondad are older but check site for new codes to pop up Redbox Codes: Text In Codes Information * These are the current Redbox codes you can text to 727272 to get free or discounted rentals. Once you text in the keyword you will either get a code right back or a reply that you will get it soon depending on the promotion details. Standard text rates do apply. The Redbox code you get back will be a one time use code specific to you. Usually they are valid for a week from when you get it, but check the text for the exact expiration date. When applying text codes, GatorDeb, CardsFan111 etc. mentioned to text STOP to no. 727272 and resubmit code and that may allow free movie code to appear. Try that. The easiest way to rent is to reserve your movies online first at Redbox.com. Then just go to the kiosk and hit the Pick Up Online Reservation button and slide your card. Nice! Also make sure to sign up for the text alerts, you will get random discounts and even free movie rental codes from time to time. Standard text rates apply though so if you still have a limited amount of texts on your plan make sure you consider that. They usually send about 5 to 10 a month. Also check for codes at end of pages on this thread. And thanks everyone for dumping unused codes on this thread. Priceless. |
re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Trevor started a thread over a year ago here that usually drops off the first page since new codes come out rarely. Now that the monday codes are issued just once a month, activity has signifacantly dropped.
You've gathered together codes that haven't been consolidated recently and that's useful. Thanks. |

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
I was kind of on the fence about the sticky, but we'll see how it goes.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Thanks again Pilot. I will update often. I would daily but the codes are slow it seems. What everyone can do in the meantime is set up an emailer account on www.redbox.com . I have had great success with this redbox so I am hoping you all the same. If anyone finds new codes please post. Thanks again.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Really? A "sticky" for a free code once a month? A code worth $1?
|

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Thanks for making the thread a "sticky"
I support Redbox 100%,love that they give out a free code once a month now. I just hope in the near future they add more good movies to their boxes.:-) Also I can't understand why people who use redbox don't get on their their email with Redbox and also redboxinsider. I just got sent two free codes(one use) from Redbox by email. thanks Redbox. |
Re: Redbox free rental codes thread: Mondays, some Wednesdays, others
Todays universal code is QNGJ7KD

Many people don't notice stickys, and might as well keep it there for people who subscribe/bookmark it, instead of making people click to another thread. Not sure why we needed a new thread, or to have either one stickyed. We always bumped the old one whenever anyone found a working code. |
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
What about the code for 11-2-2009?
|
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Redbox has apparently changed things up.
Today's code can not be shared. Edit to add: /thread And wm lopez, just wondering, but is it supposed to be funny, asking for the code every month? I'm confused. |

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Trevor, I was nearly 100% sure you were joking...but then I just received my text code with the indication that it was one-time use and can't be shared.
I'm disappointed. Even though I have a code, I usually get 2 movies using different credit cards. Guess I could sign up using my wife's cell phone if I wanted another code bad enough. Edit to add: And you're right on this thread. It will cease to be useful if it becomes the norm for all codes to be one time use. There would be no sense even in folks posting unused codes since lurkers and the like would pounce on them. |

And in this case it will be even more aggravating, with people wasting time and gas driving to a redbox. We should all continue to post any universal codes we come across of course. |

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Today's code: TEGJ6FD
(posted on Redbox Twitter.) It’s the first Monday of the month! Enjoy a free rental! Don’t miss out – the code expires at 12:00am CT tonight! |
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
I was about to post the same thing. Same code, so it is universal.
|
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
So now we get a univeral code and a personal one-time use code.
|
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Well-
It looks like codes are the only way I'm going to get Redbox rentals. In central PA, they raised the rates to $2 for the first night, $1 for each extra night. This makes me less inclined to take chances on items I wouldn't normally rent. Plus Blockbuster sent my a card for 1.99 rentals until Nov 22 so I don't feel rushed to watch it in one night when I have a whole week thru Blockbuster. |
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Anybody know how I can sign up for the universal code to be sent to my phone? I got the one time use code and thought I could use it again but it said "promo code already used". I didn't realize there was another code that's a "universal" code. I'm not going to make another trip out there but for the future, I'd like to know how I can get the universal code as well.

My idiot story for the day: I stopped by the Redbox and used the universal code to pick up a couple of DVDs (different CCs), then entered in the one time use code. As the DVD was being dispensed, I was reading all the upcoming releases and reached over to get the DVD and accidentally gave it a slight nudge and the machine sucked it back in. The screen said "something wrong happened during this transaction, your credit card won't be charged" then went back to the start screen. When I tried to use the code again, it said "already used" Oh well, I still had a couple. I may shoot off an e-mail to them shortly. It seems as if I've heard their customer service is pretty good and maybe they'll send me a replacement code. |

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
Just trying to figure out if there's a way for me to get the code on my phone so I don't have to go home first to check the forums and then go back out.

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
I do get the text for the one time use code, but I was asking about getting the universal code on my phone too.
|
Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread
How do the text codes work? Thanks again.
|
Re: Redbox and Blockbuster Express Codes Thread
Here's a new code: DLLNS26
It apparently came from a grocery store, I don't know if it's supposed to work everywhere, but it has so far. |
Re: Redbox and Blockbuster Express Codes Thread
Worked for me at a Stop & Shop, thanks! Any idea about an expiration date?
|
Re: Redbox and Blockbuster Express Codes Thread
Here's a new Shop 'n Save code:
