I think your Wal-Mart should just come out already and admit its true inclination and preference. Life is too short to hide who you really are.

I didn't scan one but at my Wal-Mart these were all in the $5 bin. If they are $2 I may grab one for the grand-kids.

Has anyone else confirmed this is only $2 at their Walmart? My daughter loved that special and for $2, I'd grab one.

Not doubting the $2 price, but it may be YMMV. The WM website shows $5.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

They could have been in the $5 dump bin since that was the original price during the holidays. It could be YMMV. Although the WM website usually doesnt reflect store prices. They have all the new $5 titles for over $10 each on their website.

They had them on a back endcap and it was full with about 200+ copies. They also had a double pack (Merry Madagascar/Party with the Penguins) for $4.00. They had big price drop signs on the endcap. Maybe this location just had too many of them left and can't be send back that they had to reduce the price.

eta: Just did a google search and someone in Alabama also found it for $2.00: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1859557

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Finally found Turner & Hooch and The Outsiders: The Complete Novel 2-Disc SE for $5 a piece Saturday night. I almost paid over six bucks (excluding S&H) for Turner & Hooch online but held out in hopes to find it at a b&m store, glad I did. Now the prices online will most likely drop - oh well.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Checked out the Wal-mart DVD section today for the first time in several weeks. As others have mentioned, all the sales displays in the aisles were gone, a much different look now without them. I did pick up The Outsiders for $5. They also had a number of new (to me) TV Box sets-2 packs.

Little House on the Prairie Seasons 1&2
Little House on the Prairie Seasons 5&6
Arrested Development Seasons 1&2
Cosby Show Seasons 1&2
Cosby Show Seasons 7&8
Jeffersons Seasons 1&2
Jeffersons Seasons 5&6

...were all $19.96

Family Ties Seasons 1&2
Family Ties Seasons 3&4

...were $24.96

There were others, but the ones above are the ones I remembered seeing. I picked up LHOTP S5&6--don't remember seeing those that cheap before.

I keep looking for this at the Wal-Mart's near me, but they never have it. Would like to pick one up for that price, though.

Urgh... Those eco cases are driving all my business to second spin & FYE & buying used so I don't have to swap cases. I returned a lot of black friday purchases to Wal Mart because of the eco case & just picked up used copies.

I know, I have to swap cases every single time i buy a DVD that has an eco case. It's extremely annoying and ridiculous that these cases exist. What is even worse is how easy the artwork can get damaged. If you can't find a $5 title you're looking for on the rack in Walmart don't go near the $5 bin because you'll find dented and crushed cases all because they are in these stupid cases.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Picked up the "Stephen King DVD Collector's Set" for $12. It has Misery, The Dark Half, Needful Things, and Carrie in it. (Already have singles of Carrie and Misery, but couldn't pass it up as Needful Things is OOP and The Dark Half alone costs like $13.49 by itself on Amazon.)

Also picked up "Flesh of the Beast: Media Mix" from Shriek Show for $10. [Flesh of the Beast on both Blu-Ray and DVD, Flesh of the Beast: Late Fee on DVD, and a Flesh of the Beast Movie Soundtrack all in a single DVD case.]

I also finally found lone copies of "Ringu: Anthology Of Terrror" and "The Odd Couple" for $4 each hidden on one of those cardboard aisle displays.
