Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

Yeah, the higher price and the original price not being under 40 is what helps with those sets.

Laser, any chance we'll see some new 20% off coupon codes this week? I've got my eye on a couple of things, but would need some solid coupons before I could pull the trigger.

I didn't see anything until August 2. Is it something that may still be available until then?

I think so. And even if it's not, there's another dvd set to be released right before August 2nd (7/31) and if the pre-order price holds a day or so after release and I can add a coupon to that it'd be great. So I'm good to go either way.

As always, thanks Laser!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I signed up for the Buzz Club offer at the link a couple days ago, but haven't yet been texted with the $5 off code or gotten any other codes from them. I only got the initial text that I needed to complete my sign-up and then nothing. Do I need to use my Visa card once at B&N before they'll text me, or do anything else, or should I have gotten it already? Thanks for any help.

You should have gotten it pretty quickly via text. If all else fails you could just get someone to text you the wording of the Buzz text and it should work.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Is it possible to order something to get the free memebership and then return the item in store?

Has anyone stacked the $8 off $40 coupon with the $5 off Buzz? Or even better, stacked all 3? $8 off $40, $5 off Buzz, $5 off $50 purchase?

Every time I enter the 3 digit confirmation code when enrolling for BN Buzz, it tells me the code is not valid. Has anybody else had this problem?

You can place an order for a pre-order item to get the membership, then cancel the order once you've received your member number.

Perfect, thanks. That's exactly what I needed. So has anyone stacked the discounts?

You can also order a $30 (for example) e-gift certificate in your own name and you'll get the trial and a printable certificate nearly instantly.
The cashiers are sometimes willing to stack coupons as long as you meet the minmum requirements. YMMV. Bear in mind that there are reports of CSRs denying any coupon usage towards Criterion purchases.

Yeah, thanks - I know they've been stingy with coupons but it seems that if they scan the member coupons it should work so I'll give it a try...

I already have e-gift certificates from Plastic Jungle and the $5 for $10 deal so I'll be using those.

Wonder if this is a sign they might be getting ready to expire the $5 coupon in the near future. Anyone get texted the coupon recently?

My sign up date was July 17th and I received it. I think there were a few who signed up after me.

As another data point, I signed up on the 20th and received it less than a minute later.

So much of this is YMMV depending on store/clerk. The Westport CT store is agreeable to coupons during the 50 percent off sales and it does not seem to matter what clerk is involved nor whether Eclipse or Criterion. I never try to stack coupons as that is just a personal line in the sand that I do not cross.

With coupon, I just picked up the new Eclipse box-set: Jean Gremillon - During the Occupation for $13.02, out the door. I think that Lumiere D'ete is a gem of a film and for that amount, taking a chance on the other two titles (Remorques and Le Ciel Est a Vous) is like not taking a chance at all.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks for the feedback and info. I had signed up on the 26th and still haven't received it.

But I was (barely) able to use the code anyway today. The cashier was willing to try, but said that it didn't work when I gave her the code. My reaction was mildly disappointed, but accepting, but slightly hopeful that she might try something else. She got the hint and asked another cashier who didn't know either but that resulted in the same thing. Fortunately for me, it was 10 in the morning and there were no other customers needing help, so the second cashier called over to a guy at the Nook table, who had done one of these once before. He asked me about the promo and I just said that I knew the basics: that I needed to spend at least $15, use a Visa and the code number. My cashier tried again with whatever he told her and it worked. I really doubt that it would have happened if they all hadn't had time on their hands, but I got lucky.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

New printable store coupons are now available. Also added a few new online codes on the first page to go along with them.

I had no trouble when I used the text code; in fact even one particular CSR who used to find fault with any coupon being applied to a Criterion purchase, and expressed skepticism that it would work, got the discount to work on his first try. I'd hand them my phone and they'd read the message, enter the code and the discount went through. Got to use it about seven times, once or twice a day.

I'm hoping for a new 20% coupon soon so I can pick up a few new-release books before their prices go up.

Thanks! Added the new Visa coupon code to the list on the first page. The old one will probably expire after the weekend. I would assume this one to be valid anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.

I may have to take this back. Doesn't look like any new coupons until next week. B&N has been slowing down the frequency of new coupons since the Criterion sale. They were often going every other week, but now going about every two weeks.

However next week B&N is going to have some more surprise coupons again. Ran across these today, but they are dated for next week.
