Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

Expiration 12/31/2020 and despite the coupon language is only good for In-store coupon Eligible items.

The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

I thought I found out about that on here, but perhaps it was on FW. Those are the only two sites I frequent... Note that it is affiliated with Visa, but the texts I receive do not mention requiring a Visa with the coupons...
As I don't have a Visa I can't enroll, so I would appreciate it if you are someone would post these coupons here as well. It appears you need a Visa to get them but not to use them.

Will do! This is actually the first online coupon they have sent. The other was a $5 off $15 store coupon, where you have to show your phone. Those are the only 2 texts I have received since I signed up 12/31. However, they said the more you use their deals, but more deals you will get. So apparently if you do use the registered Visa card at B&N, they will send more deals. I have a B&N Mastercard, so I will likely never use my Visa there.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I've been getting coupons that are very limited use. But if anyone wants the codes here they are,

One is 30% off any of 5 new books, The Rope (Anna Pigeon Series #17), Revolution 2.0: The Power of the People Is Greater than the People in Power, Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America, Shadows in Flight (Ender's Shadow Series #5), Death of Kings (Saxon Tales #6). The e-mail is confusing as to what the code is, in the text it says "coupon X3J4B8V", but on the site it has the same code as the one below H7P7R4N.

$4 off the combined purchase of "Travel & Leisure" and "1,000 Places to See Before You Die" ONLINE Enter coupon code H7P7R4N at checkout.

There was a post here about it a few weeks ago but it mentioned a $5 off coupon for B&N. I don't own a cell phone and can't sign up for the text messages.

The 20% coupon seems like it will work with any credit card and is not restricted to Visa. It worked when I tested it with my Mastercard.

I tried to sign up for that a few weeks ago. I got a message that my phone was not able to receive texts. I don't know why I would get that message considering I text all the time on my phone and have unlimited data and messaging.

Edit to add: I decided to give it another try and had no problem enrolling this time. After confirming my enrollment, I was immediately sent a message saying to visit the nearest B&N store in the next 7 days to save $5 off an in-store purchase of $15 or more.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I hate to mention this, but I've noticed an abundance of price increases (usually nothing too terrible, but quite noticeable nonetheless) among some of the eligible items that I've "wishlisted."

Seems B&N likes to play the DD "dirty pool."

I assume you mean in-store, since the sale DOES work with pre-orders online. Or you could do what I did, and place a ship-to-home order in-store, thus using 2 coupons and getting a 10% member discount off everything...

For members only? The only pre-orders I could get online are things released before the sale ends.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

hi, new member, was directed here from fatwallet. i was trying to order a book for class and when trying to use the non-members coupons they all said i wasn't qualified. i have never purchased anything from bn.com before and from what i can see it wasn't a barnes & nobles college store purchase or whatever that means. are these coupons limited to a certain number of usage? thanks for any help.

if it makes a difference, i was trying to purchase this book;

Working Papers with Study Guide, Chapters 1-12 for McQuaig/Bille/Noble's College Accounting, 10th / Edition 10

i can't post the url because i'm a new member. thanks again!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Easiest way to tell why it doesn't work is to click "details" on the message that says the coupon couldn't be applied. Or if you go to the first post of the thread and see the same code, details will be there too.

Coupons are generally limited to one use per account before the expiration date. However the 10% coupon code L7H4L9X on the first page is the one exception and can be used multiple times.

Probably the book is not eligible because it's a textbook. Most coupons will not work with textbooks.

15% Off One Item Coupon Details:

This coupon can be redeemed only once per customer per billing address online at BN.COM.

This coupon is valid from December 5, 2011 and expires at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time March 31, 2012, while supplies last.

The 15% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other eligible discounts, including (if applicable) the standard Member discount, are applied.

Additional Rules Governing Use of this Coupon: This coupon is (i) not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents (including Gift Cards and online Gift Certificates); (ii) not valid on past purchases; (iii) not eligible for purchases of the following products and services: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, gift-wrapping, textbooks, video games, digital content (including but not limited to NOOK Books, magazines, and periodicals), NOOK(r) devices and their related accessories, other hardware and electronics, software, products available for pre-order, products from the Rosetta Stone Series, products available for in-store ship-to-home orders, or products marked as not eligible for "coupons or promotional discounts," (iv) not valid on purchases made from third parties accessible from the BN.com website (e.g., used books, PC and video games, etc.); (v) not valid at hp.bn.com (vi) not valid on applicable sales tax or shipping or handling expenses; (vii) may not be combined with any other coupon or promotional discount; and (viii) may not be combined with the Educator program discount. This coupon is not valid at Barnes & Noble College Bookstores or websites. Void where prohibited by law.

This offer is subject to change or discontinuation without notice; we will, however, honor properly placed orders with valid methods of payment with sufficient funds placed prior to such change or discontinuation. Barnes & Noble is not responsible for typographical or pictorial errors.

Anyone can do this, not just members. But you may be right about the eligible pre-orders online, I didn't look that closely. I just knew my pre-orders worked. In-store, however, you should be able to get ANY pre-order using Ship-to-Home. Some people have had issues with STH orders in the past, but most of us do not have problems with that.

There might be more of these Visa text message coupons coming soon. I noticed coupon information for several new 20% coupons went up today similar to the last one. No date of expiration is given. Just says valid 3 days after receiving the offer.

Annie Hall and Manhattan seem to be excluded as well. Perhaps the new releases for today haven't been flagged yet?

Had the Criterion blu of Godzilla pre-ordered since early November and they send me a 'the release date for this item has been postponed' e-mail this morning. Wow.
