bhauge, do you know if the BBV at Timberhill is still doing price match?
Actually, if you search for any of the 4 titles from the collection, you'll see the Studio Classics show up. Just be sure not to order the actual individual title. If you trade in the 2 that you already have at the Albany BBV, that will pay for a good part of the Classics.

I talked to the manager at the Timberhill BBV when the Stars Wars Trilogy came out about doing a pricematch. He wasn't willing to do it and he made it sound like Corporate was trying to crack down on BBVs that were still pricematching, so no luck

Just a note, all BBV locations share the same computer pricing info, so if it's $xx.xx at one location it is going to be the same at all other locations. (this may vary with franchise stores).

Picked up my Columbo: Season 1 at the local BBV tonight for the ordered price of $26.99. Don't know if it's still that price in the computer or not.

Does anyone have a part number for this? Thanks.

Thanks! But it would be nice to know which Treasure DVDs correspond to the numbers.

If someone finds out and posts here, I will post them in the table.

Worst case, you could walk into the store and ask that you would like to purchase # XXXXXX, and they can tell you what the title is. If it is not the one you want, ask for the next number.

Blockbuster's distributor is out of Tomorrowland. Because the distributor cannot order more [as the title is in Disney's Vault], the only way you can get it is if, as is your case, your local store has copy on hand.

These numbers are special orders. If you special order them, they are $17 each. Otherwise, they are as marked on the shelf.

No preorders...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with Blockbusters that say they don't do preorders/special orders?

I'm in downtown Chicago.

Thanks again to this thread.

Yesterday I picked up my Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 2 that I preordered for 29.99 plus tax as listed here. They took 15 minutes to find it and first tried to give me the cheap spotlight collection. I had used credit from my value card that I got trading in DVD's for $8 as listed in the other thread.

Thank You !

I picked up my Looney Tunes from BB too. They had no trouble finding it, but when they saw the price I paid vs. the sticker on it and what the computer said, they said this was a misprice. I then said the person who sold it to me (I knew that person's name) said they would honor it even if it was. I was afraid they would give me more trouble, but they didn't. However, it must've taken 5 minutes before they figured out how to make the register take it. I think they ended up doing something that said "CREDIT" on the receipt. I was worried they might have charged my credit card or maybe made my BB account owe them the difference, but I checked on those later and everything seems OK.

Thanks again for the thread. I pre-ordered Looney Tunes with credit, but they can't seem to find it in their store. Their computer says they have one, but they don't know where it is. :P

Oh well. I'll get it eventually.

Also going to pick up some of those Disney Treasures if I get the chance.

snart, I am not trying to be a smart-ass, but here is the best answer I have for you: Find a different Blockbuster that does, I live in the burbs and unfortunately there are some that do and some that do not. I have not been able to find a ryhme or reason why this is the case but it is. For example, if you have a specific movie you want, you would be suprised that you should go to different BB's because of different prices even.
2 movies I have gotten: both I have found at one store for $14.99, but at another $12.99 Funny thing is that I am only able to do my preorders at the store where the movies cost more for a lot of the titles. So the moral is, to get the best of both worlds I have to shop at both places to fufill the best deals.

i thought i might get some feedback on my situation:

i went in awhile back and preordered the looney tunes collection and was able to pay for it. so far so good. it was released last week so i go late week to check on it. the guy says that it's not there and the truck will be in friday so check back after that. i said fine. i go back in today and ask about it and the guy was incredulous (not that he would know what that word means) that i was able to preorder something. he said that what they would have to do would be refund my money, order the set, and then i would repay for it!! i said "why can't you just order it and let me have it considering i have already paid for it?" he couldn't give me a good answer. so i asked when the manager would be in so i could talk to her.

what i am worried about is that if they have to refund my money, will the price be adjusted and they won't give me the set at the better price even though i have alread paid for it. grrr.
