Blockbuster Pre-Order and Part Number Thread

I do not know about you, but I am having a hard time keeping up with all the Blockbuster threads right now:

The $8 Trade-In Deal: Blockbuster - Get $8 minimum trade-in credit from 10-3 to 11-1

How are you spending your Blockbuster credit: How are you spending your credit?

and the last one, which is most related to DVD Bargains, Blockbuster Price Mistakes

The information here is a compilation (from existing threads) of necessary information for placing DVD Orders through Blockbuster B&M stores. I just spent too much time to keep looking for the information I needed.

How to pre-order an item in full:
Actually, you should be able to pre-order an item in full, with $0 due on delivery.

The CSR first types in PRESALE or hits the presale button

Them system will ask for a part number

The system asks new or used

Then it asks if they would like to put down a deposit. If they hit "NO" then the items should ring up full price and you can pay for it right there and then.

On street date (or whenever you go pick it up) the all the CSR has to do is type in "DELIVER", type in the part number, and hand you the DVD.

That's been my experience anyways.
I would like to keep this post current, with your help. If you find new items or have part numbers, please post and I will update the main post.

... if anyone can help me figure out why I have a huge space before the table, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Issue resolved.

Thanks a lot, this should be really a helpful thread. I read through the misprice thread and never saw mention of Columbo. I'm going to run down and order that right now.

Good thread - very helpful !!

Perhaps some posters could also post actual store locations in the various cities in which they live that are actually taking pre-order/special orders for these titles as well.

If you do order it, please post the Part Number, so I can add it to the chart.

Thanks!

Good idea, although it may be a bit difficult for me to keep up with all the sites. I'll do my best.

Get rid of all the returns. Basically make the whole table one line, and let the forum rap it. If you have any questions just look at my Xbox Gametag list in my sig or email me.

Matrix went up to $49.99. I believe that price was associated with part# 817004 Nevermind...shit! I have to go back tomorrow and fix it.

I just pre-ordered that plus Smallville and Looney Tunes.

Overall, the store gets an A+ in my book being so helpful.

I also could not pay in full. I owe $1 each when they all come in.

it's possible that that guy did order the Ultimate Matrix Collection for $45 but they since corrected the error and it's back to $80. The same thing happened with The Friday the 13th Collection which was mispriced at $26.99 but went up to $69.99 or something like that.

Thanks. Nobody at BBV had any idea that you could preorder titles and found my print out of this thread very useful. Now are we certain by preordering that Looney Tunes title that the DVD will indeed arrive at that store?

It is sad when DVDtalkers are the ones training in BBV employees how to do this! But, hey, if it works....

if I recall, the Friday the 13th Set was corrected overnight I think. I remember cuz it was reported on a weekend, and I was gonna go in on Monday to pre-order it but by that time, it was corrected already.
