Totaly disagree - I think that any disc that's at an average price as say, best buy or something, is a GREAT deal. See - free = great deal, and thats what all this credit is.

Okay, since we all have lots of BBV "funny money" to spend, and the deals there are rare. I will continue to add whatever is posted to the thread.

Therefore, if there is a title you would like or have purchased and know some of the needed information, I will add it to the list.

Rather than adding another table, I will look into adding a "MSRP" column, and a "% Discount column", that way we can look at the table and know what are good deals, and which are not.

Sound good?

Could I get a few video game part numbers? Specifically:

X-Box Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
X-Box - Otogi 2

Also, where are you guys finding them? Just bugging the employees to look harder?

Main post updated with MSRP (based on MSRP on Amazon.com), and Discount percentage (versus MSRP).

Anyone have a reliable place for MSRP?

I did find a Blockbuster today that would allow me to Pre-Order AND Pay in full. So, I ordered Smallville, Season 3.

24: Season 3 was not even in their system.

cartman. I checked both games and the "Buy Now" link was not available on Blocbuster.com. I think they will let you buy preorders online but once the title has hit the release date they change the link to "Check stores"

Anyone know of blockbuster.com's plicy on ordering games?

Well, those two were released today, so I called BB to see if they got them (I've got tons of credits to spend there thanks to the trade-in deal), and the guy claims that once a game is released, they cannot order any, which I find rediculous. So, I'm hunting for the product number to have them (hopefully) order one.

I don't understand why some items in their computers are so low and others are so ridiculously priced. I also had them check Gilmore Girls season two and they have it listing for 74.99.

I think what we need to find are Paramount sets for the most part, and WB and WB related sets (like Shout Factory, for example), since those have typically listed low in their computers at first. Fox sets tend to be higher for some reason. I wonder who reports the presale MSRP to BBV Corporate for listing?

I was going to preorder Battle Of Aligers and the dude was like "oh you probably don't want that."

I said "Why's that?"

"The price is $89.??"

I was like "WTF?"

since there already is a "how are you spending your blockbuster credits"
shouldnt we just keep this to a thread for ridiculously mispriced(low) items at bbv.

I think so. This is a bargains board, after all. We can keep each other updated on the higher prices in the thread from time to time, but I think the main chart should be bargains only.

All the games we get come from the corporate warehouse, like everything else in the store. We can't order things from the warehouse, they just come on the truck every week.

All the preorders and just regular stuff you guys order comes from Ingram and as far as I know they don't carry games which would be why you probably are being told you can't preorder, or special order any games.

I've been told in the past that I couldn't preorder any video games at all unless it was something we were for sure going to be carrying. (As i remember i was able to order I think Madden 2004 but around the same time wanted to order PRIDE FC and was unable to because it wasn't something BBV was going to carry for sale)

I could be wrong about some of this but I think it's pretty much correct.

I tried to preorder Smallville Season 3 tonight and the price in the computer was $54.99. Of course, the guy could have been looking up the wrong season.

I called the store I go to as well, and it is that price as well in their computer. I guess that deal is dead.

One has to wonder if this type of thread may have a negative effect. If the corporate suits see this, or find out about the prices in a round about way that may have resulted from this thread, they may fix those prices or raise them so high nobody wants to order. They are still listing their Star Trek season sets for nearly 200.00 per season. I guess they are still mad about season two. But again, it has to be the studio's faults if they are reporting the wrong MSRP to BBV.

Went to 3 locations here in Richmond and all of them have both titles listed at $59.99 now

Does that mean if we only put a $5 pre-order, that we have to pay 54.99?

Walt Disney Treasures wave 3 are all listed at $16.99 in the computer. Sounded like a good deal and I'm pretty sure they aren't out of print yet.

After reading your post, I went into BBV to try to order these. They had a hek of a time finding them but The Complete Pluto came up as $32.99.

She couldn't even find the other two but since Pluto was $32.99, I told her to stop looking.

Wave 3 is the ones that came out a few months ago (Tomorrowland, Chronological Donald, Mickey Mouse In Living Color 2, On the Front Lines), right?

MMILC 2 is selling for $27.99 at blockbuster.com though

Found a pretty good price online for the FOX Studio Classics Collection. Price is $21.99, comparable to Amazon and DVD Empire. Link is here.

Nice find! Though the title is All About Eve (one movie) and yet the running time is 7+ hours. Too bad I already have two of the DVDs in the set.

bhauge, do you know if the BBV at Timberhill is still doing price match?
