I asked that guy in the above tweet why he needed to buy that book and he actually responded with, something.
“Because I don’t like or read superhero comics normally and have not since probably 2000 or so but I have been a fan of Rob’s since Hawk and Dove so I have been picking up these covers. No judgement on the book itself, I literally know nothing about it.”

I liked Rob's Hawk and Dove too, but even if I were a hardcore fan I'm not sure I'd buy a book just for a cover artist (unless I had like every cover ever drawn by them or something).

Karl Kesel (Rob's inker on Hawk & Dove) finished like 75% of Rob's incomplete/half-assed work.
So if his early stuff looks good, it's because the inker did the heavy lifting.

Rob’s work is exciting and all but very half assed. The best art of his are the ones where the inkers (Kessel) or collaborators ( McFarlane) put the brunt of the work.
