It's fun that he still draws him like Deathstroke.

It fires two bullets at once, in case he's facing an opponent who's faster than A speeding bullet.

Yeah, that gun Deadpool is holding does look weird. It's too small for Liefeld...

I always found it funny that Cable was always firing a gun the size of a motorcycle, but never seemed to hit anything.

The handguns - the one in that Deadpool pic has no grip and neither does the one Shatterstar is holding. He just draws the top of it and cuts it out with an x-acto knife and pastes it over the clenched fist.

It's the same with the swords, which is why the sword is often at a slightly off angle.

Jaguar should consult his doctor if that swelling lasts longer than four hours.

The weird thing is that the panel already seems to be covering the feet so it's not like the table is needed to cover the lack of feet. It's just... there?

Everyone makes fun of Rob Liefeld for not drawing feet, but I think he can draw feet. The reason he doesn't show his characters' feet is because he can't draw figures in any kind of environment that had depth.

He can sort of draw figures, but he can't place them in the context of any kind of space.

He can kind of draw feet, but just like non descript shapes. I mean look at those fists!

Fuji, yup...there are no knuckles or indications that these characters have fingers on their hands, the "hands" do look like a blob of flesh. That being said, I have always had a soft spot for Liefeld's "art." Say what you will about Liefeld but the dude has created (or had a hand in creating) some characters that went on to click with comic fans and have withstood the test of time.

Oh, absolutely. And maybe it's just pure nostalgia but I still like his run on New Mutants and X-Force, it's just the fact that unlike others, he never really evolved past those early days is what bugs me about him. I mean look at the female figure on Flygirl. What is going on there?

I wonder if after every panel/pin-up Liefeld looks at his artwork and says "nailed it!"

I'm surprised to see Lancelot Strong because I thought Joe Simon successfully regained the rights to the character around the same time he got The Fly back from Archie.

I need to look at the copyright indica in the comic now.

Flygirl wearing a cup. What kind of world has characters running around in skin-tight, brightly colored outfits, but who have to worry about being kneed in the groin?

This thread is thirteen years old, and Liefeld still hasn't taken a class in anatomy or drawing from life. It's sad to see someone with talent not putting in any effort to improve his skills.

After looking at the last two unique images posted, and in answer to the OP question: yes.

He’s the inker.

It’s not just tht he is bad it’s completely lay all the way through.
Not putting detail in the hands, the same face template,
not even bothering to put something in the background tHat gives Fox something to be sitting on.

Its lazy lazy lazy. He doesn’t care.

The cup is the least of her worries. Like I'd be worried about whatever's going on with her spine and the elongated head (or maybe it's just tiny in that helmet)

I just thought she was wearing one of those old fashioned granny pads.

While I know it's fun for some slagging on Liefeld, that panel isn't particularly terrible by the standards of a random Marvel/DC issue from the past decade. Yes, it's easy for a trained eye to spot Liefeld's little gimmicks covering up certain features.

I tend to agree.

While people like Frank Robbins don't (or didn't) have the technical skills that Liefeld has, they aren't (or weren't) lazy like him. They're not always taking the shortcuts and putting out stuff that is intentionally sloppy (blobs for hands and feet, etc). Liefeld has the raw talent and skills to be a great artist. He just takes the cheap way out as often as possible, making his work something of a joke.

And that last picture was disturbing - Liefeld seems to have a thing for drawing packages there. So much so that he's trying to compensate in some way with the woman in the group. So he's lazy, except for making sure that his characters have these huge bulges.

Re: Rob Liefeld - Worst comic book artist ever?

Are the "packages" in question on those characters from Liefeld, or the colorist? Seems like the colorist put in quite a few white highlights to accentuate their... attributes.

I have no idea who the colorist is but none is credited, and as someone noted above Liefeld is the inker.

I think this is the project he got mad about a variant cover spoiling something and left the book after this one issue (which was then converted to a one shot).
