Got a link for it? I searched for "Absolute New Frontier" and got a crossword puzzle collection. I searched for "New Frontier" and got about 2200 matches.

I didn't care much for it either. Granted, I've been away from the DCU for several years, so I had no clue what they were talking about in most of the book.

One question...

Spoiler:
When did Batgirl start talking like a normal person?

Chew got it. Amazon has been running really slow for me today for some reason.

DCBS included a handful of free comics from FCBD in this shipment.

Not a single one, either free or not, were bagged or boarded.

This is the second time that's happened. I shot them off an email, but don't expect they'll send anything out until the next "scheduled" shipment.

^Too bad I doubt they'll do that for my IST order I have coming. I actually would have liked some of them. Darn my forgetfulness.

So this wasn't something that was in place before OYL then? I haven't read Batgirl since... oh, around issue 8 or 9. When I got back into buying comics, I wasn't getting any of the regular Bat books, mainly just the Crisis stuff.

Chew, DCBS is really good with customer service AFTER something goes wrong. You'll get some more bags/boards, just sucks it has to be after the fact.

What free comics did you get? All of 'em?

New Frontier now has a message on the page with someone asking how it is only $13 and the book is also ranked #360 from about #25,000 earlier. I bet the jig is up soon.

it AMAZES me the amount of idiots out there. These are the same people that call about a misprice to make sure they're getting a dvd or something. It's right up there with ordering 100 copies.

It's a beautiful series. I won't have any problem paying $45 from DCBS.

I counted seven, but I'm only remembering four of the titles off the list from the website:

Star Wars/Conan flip
JLU
GI Joe Sigma 6
X-Men/Runaways

Anyone ever wonder why we buy so many comics? I've got a stack of comics I haven't read, plus my set up unread trade collections will take me weeks to finish if that's all I did each night. It's almost to the point where I have so many to choose from that I can't decide what to read next...selection overload. I wonder if I'll ever read some of them. Yet here I am putting more trades and monthlies into my pull list.

I think it's a collector's mentality.

Wait....where have I heard that before?

I read IC#7 and 52#1 last night and.....m'eh. I guess after the long buildup, it would've been impossible to satisfy me completely. The storyline was just too huge.

DCBS got back to me and said they'll include all the bags/boards in the next shipment. A response in less than 24 hours, not many places that do that anymore.

It's a sad state that it's as little as getting a response that can be considered "good customer service" in the current internet age.

I sent a different company a RMA request email 2 weeks ago and never heard from them.

I'm pretty good with comics in that I'm usually done with them in about 3-4 days after getting them. DVDs are a different story though. I think it helps being in NYC and having all my time on the subways to read though.

Being a comic fan/collector for over 30 years I tend to forget alot when I read comics. So what I do is let a certain title build up at least 1-2 story arcs then I attack them in one or two sittings. I try to read all the X-men titles together, all the DC books together, all the Spiderman books together. I just can't read random issues every Wednesday, too much info to digest!

Hmm... I find comics (even the bigger trades) pretty easy to read, since generally you can read at your own pace. Now my DVD backlog, and my videogame RPG backlog, will never go away. And I still keep buying them.
