Ordered Sandman too.

New Frontier still shows as #3, but is no longer "available" for pre-order.

Let's see if Sandman can make it in the Top 10 too.

I doubt we'll see any of these order at those prices, but what the hey. Any more Absolutes you care to spend our money on, MBoyd?

Looks like November 1st. I'm sure it will be delayed. All the DC absolutes have been by a few weeks at least.

I just pre-ordered Absolute Sandman. If they don't honor the price, I assume I can easily cancel it, right? If they do, I'll just put the money toward an original HC edition of Season of Mists or something.

EDIT: Absolute New Frontier was still available for me to preorder:

Absolute Sandman and Absolute New Frontier are both no longer available for me to order.

Furthermore, when checking my account history, my order of Absolute New Frontier does not exist which means we should be expecting cancellation notices soon.

Yep, I had ordered both, and they've been cancelled when I went to check.

They cancelled my order, just checked. Shows no history of it ever even existing, and I've received no emails saying "Hey, we goofed up on the price, sorry about that".

Oh well, it's not like it wasn't unexpected.

Ugh, I'm so behind. I just read Villians United special and now IC 7 makes a bit more sense.

Question: is there going to be a "good" OMAC droid? I ask this based on the IC7's last page. Also, is the Witch Boy Klarion(seven soldiers series) now a good guy? I ask this based on 52 #2.

I'm thinking the same thing about the OMAC. There is a limited series launching soon. Not really interested.

By the last couple arcs, she was able to communicate her ideas well enough, though her grasp on the English language still wasn't far enough that she could go into full-blown, insane villain monologue mode.

I am a little unclear on her ability to read and write though. She has trouble reading and writing English but she was able to learn Navajo?

Perhaps it was easier for her to learn that language. Or Superboy-Prime altered that part of her reality. Or the Lazarus Pit rebirthed her ability in some form.

Either way, it seems odd. I'm not a big fan of the change in her character. I know DC talked about making permanent changes to characters, but I don't care for this one yet.

I just read Superman/Batman #25 and boy does my brain hurt. This was one of my favorite books for a while, but I welcome a new creative team to this title.

I'm not happy either. I realy fell in love with her then they ended her run as Batgirl and the series. ok, fine. I just hope this new thing pans out to something good....

A Superman title rant:

Spoiler:
I'm not happy with all the "teasing" of this storyline. First GL offered him a ring. He turned it down the next issue. Then we have him slowly getting his powers back and he spends half an issue leaping rather than flying, harkening back to the original '30's model of Superman.

These are all cool ideas that are just glossed over too quickly. Wouldn't it be a lot more fun to explore either of those for more than a few pages? Shake the title up a bit for a while? Am I alone in that thinking?

I think they should have returned Superman to his

lower-powered self for a while.
It would have given the creative teams a nice challenge, and would fit in more with the "One Year Later" aspect of the DC Universe. Plus it would be fun to see a gradual return of Superman's powers over a year or two of storylines.

Besides, I've always thought Superman had been too powerful in recent years. He can go from Smallville to the JLA base - while changing from Clark to Superman - within the span of one to two seconds?

Chew, you're absolutely right. When I was reading those pages, I was in awe. I was so excited to see some of that happening, expecting that the new titles would be like that for years. Then, a page later, back to normal. Lame.

I think Wizard said one of the 5 wouldn't make it out of the series. If I was to bet, I'd put money on Booster.

Yeah, but I'm sure it will be in a grand and heroic fashion justifying his trip back in time.

I really feel bad for people who don't read Birds of Prey. That book is so incredibly excellent.

Dammit! Im definitely going to have to at least go to twice a month shippping on my comics. I feel so behind and hate this waiting. I broke down and bought the first Civil War, and about to start to break down and buy some more. At least I had the first 2 trades of The Outsiders to hold me off. Now if the library would just get in the Catwoman trades I put on hold, maybe I could wait a few more weeks ...
