I had been stalling on this, but now "Monster Club" is $8.99.

That is an incredible price for a release that just came out. Sales must have been dismal.

I bought Monster Club a few days ago when it was $10 and change a few days ago. Is there any way to get Amazon to give me the difference without returning it?

You can kindly send the Amazon Customer Service staff an email explaining the situation (or start a live chat), but it's a roll of the dice whether they'll do anything about it. Sometimes if the price has dropped before the item has arrived, they're understanding of the situation.

It varies greatly. From my experience, it ranges from "oh of course, I'll refund the difference right away!" to "Amazon offered you the best price it could at the moment of purchase."

They gave me my $2 bucks back right away for "Monster Club" when I asked them about it.

Anyone has the Time Burton one? How is it?

If anyone is interested Arrow season 1 is down a few bucks to $38. It's around $55 elsewhere.

Target had it for $35 yesterday but I'm unsure if it went up today or how long that price is good for.

I'm guessing it will be $20 closer to Black Friday. When Best Buy had that huge BD sale the week before last year all of their Warner Bros. TV on BD was $19.99 a season.

That's what I'm hoping. I haven't bit yet. I've been tempted though.

Any reason why you don't just stream the series via Netflix or Hulu+?

Almost bit on Arrow at full price based on word-of-mouth in the TV thread, but glad I waited as I'm powering through Season 1 right now on Netflix. All 20+ eps for $10.

Dumped Netflix when they split the business and haven't looked back. Haven't messed with Hulu. I have Prime, unfortunately it's not free there. :(

Now with $35 minimum for free shipping (for those of us who don't have Prime) it'll be even harder to find enough stuff to buy to get free shipping.

Netflix didn't split up. They still do DVDs. The negative feedback made them change their minds about it. I just have the streaming service and love it.

I believe what Michael meant was that Netflix used to offer both their DVD-by-mail service and the streaming service at the same price they now do for either one or the other.

Clapp is correct. When they decided to essentially double their prices(if you want both services) I jumped ship.

The Fly $9.99

Love Prime for the 2 day shipping and steaming movies. We have been very lucky that with Prime that have not raised the price so far even though they added the free movies. Of course if all you care about is the 2 day shipping then adding the movies was no big deal. Since I added Prime I discontinued Netflix.

I think this is very important information and deserves to be mentioned in this thread. I mean, it does potentially change what's a bargain and what isn't.

Further discussion would make more sense in the Store forum, though. I've copied Manzana's post to the relevant thread there, and I've moved the replies there as well.

$2 off just isn't worth it, in my opinion. I was hoping for $5 off.

$2 off is a Lightning Deal now?
