The way some discs look makes me wonder whether any knowledgeable person in management actually bothered to view the finished product before approving it.

Some things should be obvious though. One, no DNR. It's 4k, it's sharp by definition. Two, don't raise black levels to compensate for crap low-contrast screens. Again it's 4k, 4k panels have higher contrast that can handle inky blacks. Three, don't clip whites. It looks horrible and again, stop it with authoring for people who have 4k players but junk 1080p screens.

I would say the same about 95% of the titles posted here, including the ones I post. Depends on what one's interests are. I choose not to denigrate the titles of interest to others.

I, for example, will never, ever, watch a movie or TV show in the horror genre. However, I am aware that they are quite popular.

To be clear, I'm not denigrating YOU as the poster of the deal. It's just a terrible movie. That I happen to own in 3D (ugh). To my credit, I turned it off after 45 mins.
