^I'd say yes - if you like Hammer Horror. It's bee a $1 lower but normally sells in the ~$42 range. It's a well done set and looks better than the DVD version (I own both). 4 of the films are in incorrect aspect ratios (at 2:1 when they should be either 1.75:1 or 1.85:1), but I don't find it that disagreeable and it's nothing excessive. I certainly wouldn't let it stop me from getting the set.

SUDDEN FEAR (Cohen) - $13.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0ZWPY5/ THE STEWARDESSES 3D - $15.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXOEHPG/ Incidentally, a lot of those Kino discs were $11.98 at Kino's own Black Friday sale just this past November (a small batch of more recent titles was $11.99 at Kino earlier this week), and other folks here have said some of them were around $10 at previous Amazon sales. Tempting at ~$14, but it could be worth holding out. |
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Kino's been really raising prices regular & sale the last year or 2. For their current pricing, I'd rather get MOC R2 blu's (MOC tends to have higher quality than Kino imo) at least until the exchange rate gets ridiculous again (it's slowly going back up; we're at 1.25 $'s to the pound).

As mentioned before, the show didn't really find it's footing until season 2, and even then still didn't completely click until Adam Scott and Rob Lowe joined the cast towards the end of season 2.

Back on topic, the People vs OJ Simpson dropped to $17.50 yesterday, but it looks like it is back over $20 now. |

Loved Parks and Rec and still watch the reruns on Esquire...

'whatever happened to Baby Jane ?' Digibook (Warner): $8.92
https://www.amazon.com/What-Ever-Hap...dp/B008ALNQDY/ For years, I watched this be in the $20+ range. There seems to be a sudden sell-off of Warner digibooks. Anyone know the reason ? |

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
There's some decent, but not spectacular, deals to be had in the Kino Lorber sale. I have a gift certificate from Christmas and I might have kept waiting on these titles if I was footing the bill, but I ordered:
Porky's II/Porky's Revenge - $15.49 The Beautiful Blonde From Bashful Bend - $12.49 Moving Violations - $13.49 MV and Blonde all time lows per CamelX3, Porkys was 30 cents cheaper in December. |

Make sure to set your alarm for one of hottest lightning deals today:
Fantastic Four [VHS] Starts for Prime members at 10:20am Amazon currently has it listed for $28.48, so at anything below $25 I'm jumping on it! |

If you quit in the middle of the first season then you really didn't watch Parks and Recreation. In my opinion, from the middle of season 2 to the middle of season 4 there was not a funnier show on TV. While it slipped a little after that, it never really stopped being funny.

The Natural is $4.99 as an add-on.

I'm getting a little tired of the cheaper movies not being eligible for Prime shipping. They are doing that with CD's too. That's what I'm paying $100 a year for!

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
That's it, I'm done with prime. I was fine as long as they shipped media without restriction... Only a few days left on mine. I need to go turn that off so it doesn't auto renew.
|
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
As much shit as we get from having Prime, I could care less about this. Besides, I got The Natural for $4.99 a long time ago and it wasn't an add on. It's not like there's a heavy percentage of cheap blu's that are add-on only. This is some serious first-world issues we have going on here.
