Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

The Canadian version of The Complete Scream Collection (which includes all four films and the two documentaries in one handy case) works out to about $21.00 U.S. shipped, just a few cents more than combining those two packages (or possibly the same or less, depending on your state tax). Of course, if you can find some other deals to add to your cart, the cost of the Scream set would probably beat the U.S. price for sure.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B006DVB6C6/

Note: the Canadian set came out in 2011. I ordered one in 2015 and it still included the "slashed" slipcover (thankfully not ripped), so there's the slight possibility that existing sets might still come with that.

Its a re release from CBS Paramount at a much cheaper list price than the prior release from Image, $299 vs $127. Exact same content and extras. I think we may see cheaper prices at release date or shortly thereafter. Release date is December 13.

The 4th season with the hour long episodes episodes aren't there. I randomly watched some TZ last night and checked.

If that has all the bonuses of the Image set, it's a great buy. I was fortunate enough to get a set years ago for $67 from dvdplanet. I think that deal lasted about 12 hours, and is probably my best deal ever for a Blu Ray.

Just don't use their links to go through them. You use a different browser or open separate window.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Last year, were most of the Amazon deals the week leading to Black Friday and BF itself or were deals to be had cyber Monday and that week as well?

My Prime ran out and trying to figure out the best time to use my free Prime trial. I get 30 days and it would carry me to cyber Monday if I start today.

^Yep... Amazon "sales" on media were horrible last year. I spent more in the built-up and during the weeks after than during their "sale."

Except for one season... for some reason. Amazon had it like that. The same season... missing.

I did buy a complete Breaking Bad Blu from someone last year; I don't remember what store. The purchase was price driven.

Black Friday sales begin today.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2...oday/93098696/

Amazon's Black Friday deals start today

NEW YORK — It's November, which means it's time to start holiday shopping.

Amazon is getting a head start on the busy season, opening up its first holiday deals at midnight PT Tuesday morning as part of its Black Friday Deals store.

Don't expect many of the big ticket deals that headline actual Black Friday sales, though for those looking to get some items off their holiday wish lists you may find decent savings. Amazon says it will be offering "tens of thousands of deals" with new ones coming "as often as every five minutes."

Amazon will be running its Black Friday shop through Dec. 22.

In addition to the deals store, Amazon announced updates to its mobile apps to allow for easier shopping, even when you're in a physical store. You can now use your phone's camera to do a visual search for an item within the Amazon app. While the online retail giant had this feature for a while, it has now expanded the offering to include more than just groceries, DVDs, video games, packaged goods and barcodes to make it more helpful for those who price compare in physical stores.

Also new: a feature called Package X-Ray. Starting Nov. 15, iPhone users can use the feature to peek inside the box without opening it and risking ruining the surprise. Simply scan the barcode from the app to look inside.

With a new holiday season, there are incentives to draw users to the company $99-per year premium Prime offering. In addition to free two-day shipping, Prime members will receive an additional 20% off on pre-order and new release video games as well as the ability to shop "thousands of Lightning Deals" with a 30-minute head start versus non-members.

Those who use the company's Alexa digital assistant — found on the Echo line of smart speakers and recent Fire TV streaming sticks and Kindle Fire tablets — will have access to other exclusive deals.

Roughly 41 percent of shoppers begin their holiday shopping in October or earlier, according to a survey posted last month by the National Retail Federation. An additional 41 percent of shoppers were waiting until November to begin hunting for holiday gifts.

The NRF expects the average American consumer to spend $935.58 during the holiday shopping season, with 56.5 percent of shopping being done online.

As could be expected, Amazon is expecting big things this holiday season with items such as 4K and HDR TVs, copper appliances and handcrafted gifts among the trends it says to watch.

Last month the company announced it would hire 120,000 temporary workers to handle demand, up 20% from the 100,000 workers it brought on last year.

Its down to $85.09 at Amazon now. It will go cheaper.

Shows as only two stars with 2 people complaining its a repackage and apparently the Image release had no play all feature. So stupid complaining not about the quality of the show or the transfer but about relatively unimportant things. It like giving a blu ray a low rating because it arrived damaged or they bought a region 2 disc and now can't play it in their region 1 player. A damaged package is Amazon's or the shipper's responsibility not a fault of the product. Buying the wrong region disc is buyer's error for not carefully or perhaps not knowing there are different regions.
