Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

Amazon closed that loophole years ago. They'll retroactively add shipping to the first item if you cancel the second item later.

The Machinist is $6.45. I ordered it. Time to retire my Japanese HD-DVD import -- it has served me well all those years. For years it was the only available English friendly version in HD out there. Now if they would only release Sam Raimi's The Gift on BD (here in the stated) I can retire my Japanese HD-DVD of it, as well.

If I had $'s I'd consider that. I have all the dvd sets, but these are worth the upgrades.

My Fair Lady is at $10.53. That's the lowest I've ever seen it at.

As they should. That's clearly an attempt to game the system.

Thanks for the tip. Amazon didn't want to sell to me (prime members only) so I bought from WalMart.

No.

1 extra that I know of that wasn't ported over from the previous DVD & BD releases was the commentary.

Thanks all! I'll stick with my DVD then. This isn't the type of film that needs HD imho. Adding substantial special features and a digital copy, I'd be happy paying $9, but not now.

But you get that snazzy weird digipak thingy. Also, the remstered picture and sound is worth the buy, if that does interest you. I was bummed that the commentary was left out, but everything else was included.

Only a couple of studios include UV codes with classic older movies. Most don't come with them.

The 50 film Warner Bros Box set came with the codes for all the films included in that set. For the films such as "Mutiny On The Bounty (1935), "Mrs. Miniver , "Gigi", "Treasure of Sierra Madre", and "The Maltese Falcon" to date it has been the only place to get the digital copies these of
films included with a blu ray purchase. Other films in this set such as Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, and Gone With The Wind had digital copies in other sets containing these films including the big box of junk gift sets. Not sure if "Singin' In the Rain", "Chariots of Fire" and "Driving Miss Daisy " have had a digital copy included in any other release of these films besides the 50 film box set.

I read that the commentary was left off because two of the participants (Harris and Katz) spent their time discussing their earlier restoration work on the film. Since this is a newer restoration, that info is out-of-date.

That seems a silly reason. Unless the entire commentary was specific talk of the restoration, then just put a disclaimer on the special features menu

Yeah, so many ported commentaries have out of date comments, yet they are included in later releases.

A great price. Tempted to replace my old DVD, but I really shouldn't right now.
