I replaced very few of my HD DVDs with Blu. If my HD DVD player doesn't break, I'm more than happy with the quality of my HD DVD movies.

Shortly after making my post, I decided to cancel my entire order. After thinking about it, none of those titles were must haves. And Cat People missing all the extras was icing on the cake. I'll watch Cat People if it gets posted on Netflix or Amazon prime.

Yep. I have a few duplicates myself, but I won't be tossing my HD DVDs anytime soon.

I've duplicated some favorites like Casablanca and Serenity, but I recently watched The Matrix and Dreamgirls on HD DVD, and The Getaway remake is still not on Blu (and maybe totally out of print).

I should also point out, because I just noticed it, that wiki tag at the top of the page "detects" the Amazon deals automatically it seems. I guess we won't have to post here anymore if the wiki does the work, right?

I was thinking about a few of those Shout Factory titles, so thanks for mentioning that the sale ending soon. I ended up just ordering "Night Of The Comet,' temporarily out of stock though.

Was going to order a few more last night...but forgot. Dang it. At least I got 3 titles I was really looking for. Lord Of Illusions. Shocker. Escape From NY. Was going to order Night Of The Comet and a few others, too. Hope Amazon does this again...around Halloween? :lol:

This was actually the first time Amazon had ever put Scream Factory on wide sale. Scream Factory tends to run their own sales during Halloween.

I hope this leads to Amazon doing more sales on Scream Factory titles in the future. I picked up a decent load that I've been thinking about and would take more at those kinds of prices.

I have only received one of 6 movies that I ordered: Shocker. I hope that Amazon doesn't have to wait for siglos to get more copies to ship.

It's not like Shout Factory sells much of their stock. At their prices, their stuff just sits. Even on their "sale" events.

I'd love to get LA Law on Blu-ray. Very surprised they haven't finished releasing it on DVD.

They may not see blu. The prints are not in good shape. I read an explanation somewhere; suffice it to say the original 35 mm film is gone, & the video transfers that were done when they disposed of the film were less then stellar; that's the jist of what I remember. (I will say S2 looks better than S1.)

There's really a hold up with the Scream Factory Blu-rays that were on sale. I've only gotten two of the six I ordered.
