Apparently there are others who disagree as the TZ set is on wait list. Of course you never know how many were available for sale. I think I got it during the DVD Planet deal mentioned above.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
I've already got the complete original TZ on dvd, so it would have to be really cheap to upgrade to blu.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Can anyone offer any insight into the current workings of Amazon Prime? I just tried to place an order for an $8 blu-ray, and it tried to charge me $10 shipping. Then I tried to order an $115 set and it said 'Free Prime Shipping'. Err...
Is it the new rules going into effect, and the cracking down on Prime sharing.. or, given the second order, just something stupid, temporary and/or random? Either way, it's irritating. |
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
What was the $8 Blu-ray? Are you sure it was shipped and sold by Amazon and not a marketplace seller?

In related news, Pitch Perfect (Blu/DVD/Digital) is down to $7.65. |

It's oddly reassuring to presume I'm not being singled out for punishment! |

I've had plenty of inclination but not so much time. I heard good things about it here a couple years ago and added a season to my shopping cart, and it's been sitting there ever since. |
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
The Harry Potter Hogwarts deal is a steal at $89.99. I bought it last year for $99.99 and thought that the price couldn't possibly go lower for so much content. It's pretty much everything you could possibly want out of that series of films packaged in a handsome, well-made package similar to the Bond 50 packaging—and they even threw in the UV copies... terrific. Anyone on the fence should go for it.
I finally bought the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition boxset today for $37.04. Yesterday I checked Best Buy on a hunch they had Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Series for sale and Amazon had simply matched. I was correct and grabbed that sucker up for $69.99 after applying the $5 Rewards—also like the fact that I earned additional points for getting it at Best Buy instead. Amazon got very few dollars from me this year. |

Hannibal season 3 is now down to $14.44
That was good enough for me. So I pre-ordered it. Comes out on the 8th. Bummer it's the final season. Bryan Fuller said on Twitter that there's over 12 hours of extras, so that makes it even more of a bargain. |

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
It appears Amazon has gone back to offering the $5.99 pantry credit for no rush shipping instead of the $1 digital credit. :(
|
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
In recent weeks, I've seen them go back and forth between the 2 credits with no rhyme or reason.

Just received my copy of the Scott Pilgrim steel book with a dent in the case. I have requested a replacement.
Check your cases for dents. |

But, free money is free money. :) |

Camelot - Season One - $6.96
Maybe someone can enlighten me as to the differences between versions. It's this one (listed as 'multi format' with scant explanation), but there's at least one alternative that is described as "uncut". So, presumably this one is cut..? |

As had been Amazon tendency recently -- the multi-format listing is the US edition even when it's not multi-format and the "Bluray" selection is an import (Canadian this time)...

Blu-ray + DVD. :)

However, I'm also looking at Falling Skies S4 and the blu-ray is listed at $37.96 and contains BD and digital HD UV. There is also a multi format listing with, as far as I can tell, exactly the same content for $14.96. This is confusing... but I guess I don't care as long as multi format plays on my region locked BD player. |

I do find that $5.99 pantry box credit annoying because the $1 digital credit is valuable to me. But when I first complained about it CS gave me a $5 digital credit and I've only been hit with three pantry box credits since, so I am still ahead, thus far. Can't complain... too much. |

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Mad Max Fury Road 3D is $16.81 at both Amazon and Walmart. I know this is a higher price point that Walmart's $9.96 BF sale, but this is the only 3D I really cared for but missed out during Walmart BF. Will be buying from Amazon though to get free shipping with Prime.
