Pretty good deal for the complete series of The Wire but I can't justify buying it as I have the DVD set and don't love the series like many do. If The Sopranos set would drop a bit more I'd bite.

It is also the Deal of the Day at Amazon Canada for $75.99. Due to strong US dollar even with shipping the deal ordering from Canada is under $67 US depending on if your credit card charges foreign transaction fees. Though the picture of the set looks the same on both Amazon sites I don't know if the set from Canada has the digital downloads of the series , as its not mentioned, or if they do if they would work in the US.

Wow, great deal.

I watched Justified pretty regularly for seasons 1 through 3, but got busy and never got around to finishing 4 through 6. But, I do want to finish it.

There's also a bonus disc specifically only with this set. If you sell the UV code, you could feasibly knock off another $20 or so from your final cost.

Edit: I decided to pick it up. It's going to be nice to have everything together in 1 collection.

The Breaking Bad barrel edition from Amazon Canada is under $84 shipped to US. Their money converter shows price as $84.87.

The standard blu ray is also part of the deal of the day but the price is similar to the US price. A little cheaper if you pay sales tax on Amazon purchases.

Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered this last week for $99.99, but Amazon agreed to do a $25 price adjustment with no hassle. So adding the $15 off for using Amex points, I got the set for $60. I'm very happy with that.

Shit, that was too good a deal to pass on. I have the seasons on DVD sets, but figure this was probably worth the upgrade (plus I'm sure it takes up a lot less space).

Now I'll have the entirety of TV's Mt Rushmore (Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men) on Blu Ray once I pick up the final half-season of Mad Men on BF sale.

I've never even seen the show! But I'm sure I would like it... Had a $10 promo cert on my account, and used my Discover Card for 5% back, which will be doubled after a year... Low enough for me to bite.

I've only seen a few episodes of The Sopranos but have a couple seasons on BD and the whole thing on DVD. I'll probably end up streaming it, though, if still available when I get to it.

It's not as "enjoyable" as Breaking Bad, as in not as much "fun". But it's deeper and more complex, with a bigger cast and exploring larger themes. Both phenomenal shows, and both can be very darkly funny. Well worth the purchase price and time invested.

I know it's not their policy to do so if you ask them, but did Amazon themselves price match during Black Friday? I'm hoping to get Inside Out on Blu-Ray.
