Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ

Thing is, the music version is what we're used to: Future deals and their time slots. I don't know whether they just don't want to show their hand yet or what. The video games calendar shows some future titles as well.

With all of the shown deals ending late night tonight, fingers crossed the traditional calendar (as seen for CDs) pops up soon thereafter.

I expect that. Amazon pulled similar tactics last year.

I just hope the LDs aren't a letdown.

If tradition holds, WB Shop will have multiple coupons to stack with their already discounted items (10/50, 5/25), as well as some of the casback sites giving hefty percentages back. Also, they do have free shipping. I can't remember the min., but I know I got FS on at least 1 $20 order (after $5 coupon).

Last year they were all PST, I believe. Took me two days to notice and adjust them correctly....

...though looking at this one, I'm unsure too. Oh well!

I haven't seen the series in many years. Isn't season one considered the worst of Star Trek: TNG?

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Some lightning deals have showed up for tomorrow. No prices yet and they are listed as Prime Early Access Deal so I assume non-Prime members have later times.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Blu-Ray + DVD)
Despicable Me (Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy +...
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial - Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray + DVD...
Coraline - Collector's Edition (Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD))
ParaNorman (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet)
It's a Very Muppet Christmas (Blu-Ray)

There's also two Barbie movies on DVD.

In a word, maybe. Season 1 is pretty poor, but obviously sets everything up and is new so much of the uneven-ness can be rationalised and/or forgiven. Season 2, without Gates McFadden is another good candidate for the overall 'worst', but both Blu-ray sets can still be recommended almost without reservation - the extras and (albeit brief) outtakes are basically worth $20-25 by themselves, and coupled with the good episodes (and/or the so-bad-they're-good ones!) make these sets a must-have.

Given the earlier Coraline talk (two types of 3D; red/green vs 'native', I think it was), can anyone tell me whether the DISCS in this version are different from the pictures-and-stuff set mentioned earlier...?

Looks like Downton Abby is a daily deal. The rest are part of Amazon's usual weekly DVD/Blu deals.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Extra effort needs to be made to be sure your ordering directly from Amazon. When hitting the order button on the BF sale page for several seasons of STTNG, they were all from second market dealers. When looking closely at my order I saw the price had dropped a few dimes but one was still 30.99. Reclicking each one revealed all three were from market sellers. I expect this when going to the main product page but I'm a little surprised to see this going on from the main BF page where there's no clue this is happening. Amazon still had stock and I had switched.

On the other hand if you are in a state where Amazon charges sales tax and in a different state from the 3rd party, you can save sales tax. Its is also fulfilled by Amazon so you still can free 2 day shipping with Prime. Star Trek TNG is also part of free streaming with Prime for those who may just want the episodes without the extras.

Where are you seeing these? And WTF is "Prime Early Access" please???

I've got Prime and never heard of this. It's almost like they don't really want to sell anything.

Half an hour bonus for Prime members at the sale price.

Clicking the BF banner brings up lists that can be filtered by depsrtment and scrolled through..

So far, though, I am unimpressed with the "sale" prices. Both Grinch and Despicable Me have been cheaper.
