Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Clicked on the link just to make sure it was the set I already own, and Amazon tells me I purchased it almost 3 years ago today. My favorite franchise, and yet that set is unopened. I've watched each film at least once since then I'm sure, but always on cable or my already opened old DVDs. What's wrong with me?! Open those BDs up and enjoy them Trevor!

just open the first two and enjoy. Keep 3 and 4 as shiny new coasters...or gift them to someone you despise

YES!! Open them! (or at least Alien - the one worth the purchase by itself). I'd say don't feel bad as I have that same full series BR set (mine also came with Prometheus as a bonus film) I purchased about a year ago... but I don't yet own a BR player. I couldn't pass up a $19.99 price tag on such a package!

If you're not a prime member, you can get it on amazon.ca http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00AQMGQ0K for $24.87CAN.

Can't believe it was actually $15.99, previously, and I didn't buy it. Then again, I only really like the 1st movie.

It's not better, but definitely not worse. It's a different beast (no pun intended) of a film and that's a good thing.

Trevor, if you are such a big fan of the 3rd film then crack that sucker open and watch it! The producer's cut finally got a proper sound mix with the actor's coming back to do voice overs. Plus, the documentary is the uncut version where the controversy surrounding the making of the film is discussed.

Nice, looking forward to it. I'm off this weekend and will plan a marathon of at least the first three films and then a bunch of the BD set special features.

Back on topic, uh, Weekend at Bernies is down to $5.

Trevor and I have previously discussed our vast preference for the first Alien movie over the second. I'm not that familiar with the third, though, so I'm not going out on that particular limb with him.

Yes, but only marginally. Neither are particularly good when compared to the first, although they *are* fairly good "action" films. Just don't classify them as SF or Horror as that's only superficial.

Probably a crack smoking troll... Actually Trevor is OK.

Yes, the first is the one to watch. Forget the rest exist but own them anyway if you are OCD about your collection (which describes Trevor and me).

Aliens is just about the greatest action movie ever made. It was James Cameron at the peak of his powers as a taut storyteller. Alien is a completely different ball of wax.

They are price matching the sale from Best Buy yesterday. Don't expect those prices to stick around long.

That Thing You Do! is such a great film. I already own it but that's a good price and a pretty solid Blu-ray. I should jump on Wonder Woman for that price. I've been meaning to pick it up for a while.

Goodfellas 25th is down to $24.99. Hardly a great price, but lower than I've seen so far.

Beyond Thunderdome was $5.99 this morning. It was out of stock but I ordered it anyway to lock in the price.

Okay, you know that little girl, the plucky lone survivor they find on the colony, Newt? The one that Ripley risks her life to save at the end, and is pretty much the whole macguffin the team repeatedly keep safe from harm at every turn, and then finally get to safety at the end of Aliens?

Well, the third movie starts out with this scene when Ripley's ship is found, "oh yeah, that little girl, she died during the long space flight.. so anyway... there's this prison..." and that pretty much tells you all you need to know about Aliencubed.

Thank you! You did a great job of pointing out some of the reasons that make Aliens so mediocre and Alien3 so awesome.
