Near the bottom of the page for an Amazon item there is a Feedback section. In that is a "tell us about a lower price" link.

Re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

I'm not sure if this is the best place to mention it (I don't recall reading about it before)...

I read somewhere else that if you go to Paramount's digital copy site (www.paramountdigitalcopy.com), there is an option to select Amazon and enter your code there which will give you a certain amount of Instant Video credit (for instance $15 for MI:GP) which you can then use on any Amazon Instant Video. Has anyone else heard this and is it true?

If it is true, that's a great deal and I'd like to know more details... in particular if you redeem your digital copies for Amazon Instant Video credit, when does that credit expire and how many codes can you enter at once?

BBC Earth's Human Planet (Blu-ray) is now $19.99 from Amazon. The catch is it's not the "Main Product Link" but instead is under the "New" link below that.

Main Link

(look down a small bit for the "New" link where it says "27 New from $19.99")

Price + Shipping: $19.99 and eligible for Amazon Prime

Condition: New

Seller Info: Amazon.com

Confirmed. Just redeemed my digital copy of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and it gave me a Amazon code for $14.99 in credit for Instant Videos. Thanks for the heads up. Pretty sweet deal!

I know it's a sweet deal which is why I asked about it. I figured it can't be brand new so why hadn't I heard about it before? I figured somebody here would point me to an old thread about this I had missed.

Unfortunately the site where I originally saw it had very little discussion and I wasn't able to cause any more. It's almost worthy of its own thread, I guess... $14.99 Amazon credit for a digital copy of MI:GP which I was never going to use anyway.

Here are the important questions I don't have the answer to:
- There are a bunch of BDs listed on the website many of which I own with digital copy. Can I get an Amazon credit for all of them and how much is each worth? Each movie's code can't be worth $14.99. I could end up with over $100 of credit if that were the case.
- Can I redeem them all at once?
- Do I need to enter the codes into Amazon right away or can I save them until I need them on Amazon?
- How long until each code or credit expires? (This is probably the most important question)

Re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

I started a new thread about the Amazon Instant Video credit for various Paramount BD combo packs here: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/blu-ray-bar...mbo-packs.html

I've already entered 2 and it's too good to be true. Paramount probably didn't intend people to use their credit to buy other stuff in the instant video store and may shut it down, but nowhere on their page can I see where it says the credit must be used on the movie whose code you entered.

Small correction: 14.99 AND a digital copy. I tried this at the link above with my copy of The Adventures of Tin Tin. I clicked iTunes first, entered the code, received a link to iTunes, entered the code in iTunes and received my digital copy. I then went back to the site, clicked Amazon Video, entered the same code, and received an Amazon promo code. I then went to Amazon, entered the promotion code and received 14.99 credit.

I believe the Amazon credit is only available for the titles that didn't come with a digital copy disc, aka the Ultraviolet ones. When I clicked on Captain America I was instructed to insert the DC disc.

Interesting. Anyway, I'm hoping (if it's OK with others) we can discuss this in the separate thread I created (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/blu-ray-bar...mbo-packs.html). There I listed the titles which have Amazon credit available, and it definitely includes 3D combo packs which had a digital copy. So you can get both an iTunes and Amazon credit? I'm sure Paramount didn't have this in mind. It's a loophole that will be closed soon so best get your codes in soon.

They're pricematching Best Buy, who also has it for $19.99 now. However, with an Upgrade & Save coupon at Best Buy it drops to $14.99.

Re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

I tried to purchase a different Amazon VOD and it didn't use the VOD credit, so maybe it's only good for purchasing these same movies in which case this isn't as great a deal after all. It still lets you get an Amazon streaming copy of each movie for free. The reason I thought it was good for anything is other people said it was on another site.

You should message Amazon CS and see what they say.
