Patience is the key. Pretty much everything will drop to a bargain price eventually. Nevertheless, it sure is hard to know when to pull the trigger and place an order. I'm tempted by the LotR:Extended for $50 because I've been waiting for several years for that one in high def. But surely it will get substantially cheaper eventually.
For me, the only titles I buy as soon as I can get them are my top ten favorites, all but one of which have been released on BD already. The rest can wait; that is the purpose of the "Blu-ray Bargains" forum, after all.

And X-Men went out of stock precisely the moment I placed my order. When I hit submit, it just kept looping and looping (refreshing) by itself on the page until I clicked my cart. Then it said "tough luck again, sucker". No actually it said it was OOS (Amazon's favorite state on BF week).

And I just got back from eating breakfast and was able to get it this time. Now I just hope that since they accepted the order they won't pull a Newegg on me and send me an email later saying "we're sorry, we cancelled this item because it's out of stock". I paired it with Super 8 preorder and the WOODWARD coupon still works. Saves me a trip to Target on Tuesday.

There are two "flavors" of Xmen. BD/DVD/DC or BD/DC. I think you guys are confusing them and I think Amazon did a changeup and is now selling the BD/DC for $9.99 rather than the pricier version that sold out. Personally, I don't have a problem with that.

So the only difference is an included DVD? If so, I'm fine with that.

I thought the version that included the DVD was a Target exclusive.

I wasn't going to get Super 8 (saw it in theaters) but couldn't resist the coupon deal for $14.99.

Last night when I checked before and after the sale started, the only one I could find listed on Amazon was the Blu/DC, and yes, the Combo pack is a Target exclusive.
While I'd like to have the dvd too, at least for the time being since my current living conditions aren't ideal, I did like this movie quite a bit and haven't re-watched it since it was in theaters, so I'd gladly pay 9.99 for it.

So I probably got the inferior X-Men First Class package? I guess I'll survive, but if BB has it for the same price that would've been better. I never noticed. EDIT: BB's picture shows the same one as Amazon now. So, if the BD + DVD combo pack was a Target exclusive, how did Amazon manage to have it earlier this morning?
It's funny how the Aquarium HD Moods sold out right away but nobody cares about the cheaper fire one. Like I said, I'd love the Muppets but I want all 5 seasons @ $15 each or nothing.
Someone mentioned earlier that 24 S8 on BD is $17.99. Is that not a good price? People don't seem to be talking about it much.

I don’t know what some of you guys were smoking, but the BD+DVD+DC of First Class was a Target exclusive. Amazon never had that version. All other copies are just BD+DC.

I guess so. Best Buy shows it as a doorbuster and calls it a "combo pack" in their ad along with Fast Five and Green Lantern. Evidently it does NOT include the DVD although Fast Five and Green Lantern do. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks, low enough for me to get Fast Five. $3 more then Best Buy later in the week, but it won't bother me enough to fight for that extra savings.

Have you guys checked the Target.com deals? Fast Five is $10, Bridesmaids is also $10 (looks like Amazon matched though). They have a ton of deals. If you have the red card you get the 5% off and free shipping, so it's cheaper then Amazon in a lot of cases.

Tempted by Source Code at $12.49. This movie is conducive to repeat watching
