I just did that and found out that it's only for purchasing the same movie to own in the Instant Video store, so I got excited for nothing (because of bad info posted on another web site) thinking it was a great way to rack up credits to use for instant video rentals. I guess Paramount was smart and doesn't have a loophole after all.

But on the positive side you can get free Amazon and iTunes permanent copies for these movies that you have a digital copy code of. At least I'll finally have something permanent that I own in my Amazon instant video library.

I could have saved you guys some trouble on the Paramount digital copies if I would have seen this conversation earlier. Paramount has offered Amazon copies for months (at least since April). They've always been redeemable for the movie the code came with only. Universal has started this on new releases too, but it's Amazon or UV, not both.

And how! Paramount's greediness on long-issued Star Trek series is the stuff of legend. I wonder how many warehouses full of Star Trek product they still have?

The DVD set is also cheap, at $33.49. It's possible you followed a bad link or (shudder) were just shipping the wrong product. Did you pay $39.99?

I did order the DVD set yesterday at $33.89. DVD Polizei didn't include a link,
so I don't recall how I got there, but the price was thirty-something, which was
all I remembered for sure. I was just careless, I guess. I've ordered the BD set and

There is an unrated version on dvd. Fox didn't release it on bluray because they're idiots. Still, this set is definitely worth picking up.
