The nearest Best Buy is a 190 mile round trip, so it isn't cost effective for me to shop there. Given my rural mountain location, Amazon is usually the best option for me.

re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

Back to the Future Trilogy currently $19.99. I think this warrants a pick-up.

http://www.amazon.com/Back-Future-An...8207888&sr=8-1

Edit:

Not sure the difference between the one above and this one for $41.49. Am I missing something or is the first one sufficient to pick up?

The more expensive one is the re-release without digital copies.

So, no digital copies is more expensive than digital copies...?

All the features seem to be included on the cheaper version. Is perhaps the picture / audio quality better on the re-release or is this a no brainer?

The digital copies are probably expired anyway. Discs are exactly the same.

There's no difference in audio or video quality. If you are buying these for the digital copies you may be dissapointed as they may be expired. The expiration date listed at NBC Universal is 10/31/11. This could be a sale to clear stock of the DC version. That said, it's still a great deal.

Missed out on this at $15, so I'm in for $20. Thanks for the heads-up!

I've had pretty good luck redeeming digital copies after their expiration date if they were iTunes based. I finally got around to redeeming all of the ones that I had obtained over the last couple of years a couple of months ago, and most of them worked...including ones that had expired over a year ago (and I did redeem all of the Back to the Future codes successfully). Older Warner Bros. "non-iTunes" digital copies were a whole other story (they apparently stick to their expiration dates).

If this keeps dropping, it will make my 7.99 Target purchase a lukewarm deal ...

I believe they expire on 12/31/12, according to the thread on blu-ray.com.

Horror fans, they also have the Scream 1-3 plus 2 documentary set for $20.99. Not too shabby.

Back to the Future now back up to $47.50

Interestingly, it stayed in my cart at $19.99.

It's actually been right around that price or lower since before it was released.

I can't promise it'll work for anyone else, but I did download the expired (10/31/11) digital copies for all the BotF movies just last month. No issues at all.

I saw that Amazon already has enough signatures to put it on the CA ballet as a proposition vote for this fall. So, I'm thinking that you'll be paying a sales tax in September and won't be paying one after November.

Saw a preview for Law Abiding Citizen yesterday and promptly hopped on Amazon to buy it. Only $11.99. Looks like the lowest since before Christmas.

That's kind of random. It was a halfway decent movie but you need a huge amount of suspension of disbelief.

Target had it for $7 for a few days last year, unadvertised sale price in store.

Actually, if we're thinking about the same unadvertised sale price, it was $6 at the beginning of last year. Found the thread talking about it.

Totally slipped under my radar. Trailer kicked ass and I love revenge flicks so $12 was good for me.
