Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

The four Big Lots closest to me all closed in the last 2-3 years. There's only one left around here and it's pretty far north.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

These aren't BDs, but might be of interest to some. My store had a bunch of multi-tv season sets in the regular display. They'd be hard to miss because they're in large cases.

These were $10:
The 4400: Complete Series
7th Heaven: Seasons 1-4
MacGyver: Seasons 1-4
Melrose Place: Seasons 1-3

These were $15
CSI: Miami: Seasons 4-6
CSI: NY: Seasons 1-3
Dynasty: Seasons 1-4
Have Gun Will Travel: Seasons 1-4
NCIS: Los Angeles: Seasons 1-4
Numb3rs: Seasons 1-4
Petticoat Junction: Seasons 1-3
Rawhide: Seasons 1-3
The Streets of San Francisco: Seasons 1-3

This title has been spotted at Dollar Tree as well but good luck finding it as it is one of the ones all the flippers are gravitating towards.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I have snagged like individual seasons for decent prices but all seasons in one case 10 bucks aint bad compared what flippers or sites sell for at reg price. i have even got many movies in a pack for the same price but know it cost more if was single any depends where u get them from. i wonder how they decide what price to tag them any at time. have seen them put movies at clearance but not many.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I went in search of some of those big finds. I hit up two stores but no luck. I did end up getting a few things anyway. I might try one more store if I'm feeling lucky.

Seeing how they price stuff i wonder if stores have turned into ebay kinda as to how they price media sometimes.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I forgot to mention, on Thursday I was next door to a Big Lots & that 20% coupon was expiring the next day. Didn't find any movies (only thing new i.e. post Covid was a bunch of Children's cartoons & a small selection of Looney Toons; both on dvd), there were a few good titles that I had previously bought from BL.

I did buy some food, lol & considered but passed on an air fryer. I've heard good things about their $20 box of masks, but if course they were sold out.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Came across some new BDs this week. I can assure you they were new to this particular store which is one I frequent most. However, it's possible they've been seen before:

Bronson Triple Feature (Death Wish 2/3/4) - $5
Bull Durham - $3
Child's Play - $3 (the original one)
City Slickers - $3
Platoon - $3
Rocky IV - $5

I'm also adding here that there were a number of new TV sets on DVD for $5 (a few cheaper ones indicated below) I saw:

The Andy Griffith Show: Season 1
Becker: Season 1 ($3)
The Brady Bunch: Season 1
Criminal Minds: Season 4
Criminal Minds: Season 10
Criminal Minds - Beyond Borders: Season 1
CSI: Season 1
Dexter: Season 1
Ghost Whisperer: Season 1 ($3)
Joan of Arcadia: Season 1 ($3)
Mannix: Season 1
NCIS: Season 9
The Tudors: Season 1

The Big Lots at Warner and Goldenwest in Huntington Beach, CA is closing and has a 20% off (maybe more this week) everything in store. If you like TMNT, they got a few copies

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Saw a number of new $3 BDs today. Mostly Magnet/Magnolia titles:

The ABCs of Death
At the Gate of the Ghost
Bad Milo!
The Dead Lands
A Kind of Murder
Legend of the Tsunami Warrior
Merantau
Playback
The Signal
This Girl is Badass
White Bird in a Blizzard

Another new-to-me film that may be of interest was Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. I think this was a 3D BD for $5

Also, a bunch more TV shows on DVD for $5 each.

The Affair: Season 1
Andy Griffith Show: Season 8
Beverly Hillbillies: Season 2
Criminal Minds: Season 5
Criminal Minds: Season 8
Dexter: Season 6
Frasier: Season 1
Hogan's Heroes: Season 1
Medium: Season 1
Penny Dreadful: Season 2
Penny Dreadful: Season 3
The Wild Wild West: Season 1

Which is far less of a crap shoot than finding one at BL. These days it's quite scatter shot the way things show up at BL.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

If it's Magnet/Magnolia, good chance they'll find their way to Dollar Tree. The batch prior to the latest Echobridge dump were all Magnolia. Some of those titles listed above were in it

Came across Star Trek: Enterprise Season 1 on Blu-ray for $5. This new location was loaded with various Star Trek-related BDs. Saw many of the $10 and $15 DVD sets mentioned earlier in the thread, including Dynasty Seasons 1-4 and Laverne and Shirley S. 1-5 DVD sets for $15.

Star Trek: Enterprise Season 1 BD
Driven BD (Surprised to find this since I could not find it in my Dollar Tree rounds)
Gomer Pyle: Season 1 DVD

Guessing since it seems Driven is like a hot ticket so to speak and some or many go for bd media more then dvd that anytime store get any those get snagged sooner for collect or resell and try sell for twice it value. i have it on dvd with extra so i thankful to snag when it cam out at decent price. i go many places to score stuff i real like and want and rest some different can try and if no go any can donate or resell later any. i really dont resell cause to me it like a hassle in ways so i try avoid it lol. so going by interest and real wants, i do what i can in these chaotic times to save when can.

The digital copy included in Driven still works, surprisingly.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

My local store had a small box on a shelf right near the entrance today that I hadn't noticed before. It was labeled $5 DVD Favorites and contained just a handful of titles, most of which I'd seen before (first seasons of Cheers, Happy Days, Gomer Pyle, Andy Griffith). What stood out was a single copy of the first seasons of I Love Lucy on BD (the ultimate edition reviewed here). I already own the complete series on DVD but might be tempted to go back for this.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I'd likely purchase S1 of ILL for $5 at BL should I run across a copy. I actually passed on that $10.99 set at Amazon as my DVDs look good enough - pretty good actually.
