Sounds like the villain is the only weak spot in the film from the reviews I've heard. Seems like a pretty common trend among superhero films in general.

It depends for me. Generally if I want to see something I'll still see it even if reviews are bad. If I'm more on the fence a bad review either leads me to wait until home release or just skipping...

The thing that's sad is that the best film is also Jackman's last time playing the role most likely. Still very excited for it though.

Yeah I liked The Wolverine a lot too. It's not perfect but it's probably one of my overall favorite films of the X-Men franchise.

I will say though it's odd to have this film be rated R when all the other X-Men films to date have been PG-13 (I'm not counting Deadpool). It just feels strange to have something that feels tonally...

I don't know this sounds pretty shoehorned in to me. The trailer makes it seem like Deadpool wouldn't really fit in and also while I'd like to see him and Wolvie together it's kind of late doing it...

I'm sure Fox won't wait too long to reboot. Along with Deadpool the biggest Marvel character they have the rights to is Wolverine. I doubt they stop using him for very long as long as comic films...

I didn't even think I was being that negative if I'm the one in question. I said twice that I still want to see the film. I just don't love the title plain and simple. It's not the biggest deal...

I still want to see it just think the title is a bit boring. :shrug: I think adding a subtitle would help like Djariya suggested.

It doesn't sound that unreasonable that the guy didn't want to be away for a long time. It could be that there's more to it than just that but his kid was fairly young at the time.

In a case where they already have a winning formula to change it up because of the success of one film to me just seems like jumping the gun a bit. Like I said earlier if the story actually warrants...

Ultimately I would think it's more trouble than it's really worth. Depending on what got changed there'd have to be two cuts edited plus they'd have to market it as rated and unrated which may cause...

With 2D and 3D there's the fact that the theater and the studio can charge more for a 3D showing whereas I think they'd have a hard time justifying a price difference for a rated PG-13 version versus...

Yeah this is the main issue I have with it. It almost seems like Fox wants the film to go R just because Deadpool was successful with that rating. I mean if the film that's being written warrants...

Yeah I'm not really against it I just hope that the success of Deadpool doesn't lead to studios and filmmakers thinking they need to one up each other or be more edgy/violent just for the sake of it....
