Yeah that’s messed up. It’s only the first four games that are $30. The rest are $40.

I also noticed that Walmart jacked the price up on those Onn microSD Express cards. They’re about $10 more now.

$40 is about the best Nintendo does anymore once they embraced controlling prices on their online store.

That's cool. I asked my boys which one they wanted for Christmas... my oldest son chose Mario Odyssey and my middle son chose Paper Mario. So I'm in the $30 camp.

Anybody else getting Kirby Air Riders? The demo is live now for just under 5 more hours now. This is a niche Japanese feel game, it most likely won't do big numbers, but so was the first one. I love it, though. It's a pick up for 15 mins here and there game. It's true what they say, it took me an hour to start clicking with it and start really enjoying it. Already charged and downloaded to console, waiting for Thursday!!

It'll probably be waiting under the Christmas tree for me.

Reviews are going up, and they're largely positive, though falling underneath the 80% mark on Opencritic and Metacritic. It's such a weird hybrid of racing game and action game (and maybe even fighting game too?), yet not exactly either, that I'm not surprised about it being kinda divisive. I'm looking forward to it.

Target is showing Princess Peach, Zelda Echoes and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD as all $29.99 on their BF ad. Actually they show Luigi's Mansion 3 for that price as well

All the BF deals are live everywhere now. All the games are $29.99 at Target except Kirby Dreamland and Luigi's Mansion 3. I just ordered Princess Peach and DK Country Returns. $60+ tax with free shipping

I prefer digital but I'm thinking about getting the S2 version of Sonic Crossworlds at half price. Wonder if in a year when steam has a sale I can still get 30 bucks for it. Also steam has DLC on sale all the time, more than the Nintendo eshop. This would be my only physical game so it wouldn't be the end of the world if the digital doesn't go cheaper in a year.

Always appreciate that Costco discount. This time I used it to voucher Metroid Prime 4 (and separately purchase the upgrade pack), and Xenoblade Definitive Edition. Never played any of the Xeno series, heard this one is really good.

Has anyone gotten Kirby Air Racers yet? Is it fun?

Also I saw the $50 Air Racers Amiibos (which reportedly weren't going to be available until April or something) at Best Buy. They're big and the riders are interchangeable, with little metal contacts on their feet and on the kart seats. Nobody is going to buy a set of two for $100 though. Insanely overpriced.

It's probably waiting under the Christmas tree for me, and I haven't goofed around with the demo myself. The impression I get is that it's very divisive: a racing game that's not exactly a racing game, an action game that's not exactly an action game. People who love it seem to really love it, and the people who don't...well... Kirby Air Riders is apparently a lot deeper than it would seem to be at a glance, and it seems to come down to how much someone's willing to embrace the chaos.

I love it. I haven't gotten to play it more than the two hours in the demo because of Speedstorm, but it's a ton of fun. The best description is that it's Super Smash Bros with a little bit of Mario Kart. You can for instance in City Mode choose to acquire power ups or spend the whole time getting in the way and blowing up other people that are trying to get theirs. City Mode online it's where it's at.

Man, I am so glad I bit on the half off Sonic Crossworlds, I've put in 5 hours and it's a blast. I love it. Completed the Grand Prix now on to the various game modes and online. The Switch 2 upgrade is coming out within the next couple of days and for a few days it will be half off at $5 vs. regular price of $10. I have a case on my Switch 2 that holds a handful of games so it's not the end of the world that it's physical. I'll wait a year or so and since it's not a first party game the DLC will drop in price significantly and I'll swoop it up then. I hated the demo but love the full game, goes to show you a demo can be very technically different than the finished product. I'm starting to prefer the S2 vs. my Windows handheld/Steam because it just WORKS, I love connecting it to the TV and I'm ready to go, taking it over to the dock connected to the computer, playing handheld. There's something to be said about dedicated consoles (Decker gets ONE "I told you so"). The controller is phenomenal. Back to SRCW, the music is just banging. One of the funnest games I've played in a while.
