They've taken awhile to release these grips though so there isn't much information if the SW2 version are just as good but I don't see why they wouldn't be. They are really expensive though. I would suggest to get the bundle with a case since they're custom made to fit the console with the grip and you won't really find a case that would be able to hold it.

Thanks! I signed up for release info. I think my Legion Go case could handle them.

Hooked up the switch to the gaming monitor with HDR and WDQH in whichever order those letters go and OMG now I get people who get motion sickness from games, I was just using a sucky tv  I may have to go back to it. Fast Fusion, Bananza, and Kart World were so big and immersive.

(no issue with pc games including speedstorm on gaming monitor... may just be that I'm switching displays on the Switch after 35 hours and have to get used to the change)

My main TV (only TV really) is a very modest (by today's standards) 65" that I only recently upgraded to from a 50". When it comes to video games I don't think I can get much bigger because I could definitely see myself getting motion sick if I was gaming on a much bigger screen.

Apparently DK Bananza is causing some motion sickness in some folks. Up to 30% according to one poll by Nintendo Life. 10% to the point of being unable to play the game.

I have a 65” OLED and no issues for me.

Those fuckers. I cheered out loud when the fire came on followed by calling all campers only to be followed by the biggest pile of shovelware with creepy floating faces. They may have included it to wink wink tell us the real thing IS coming.

Well at least there is not one thing I wanted to play so I get to play my esixting games more

I WAS surprised by the omission of Sonic Crossworlds.

I went in with very modest expectations, expecting it to be heavy on late ports, which...sure enough! I was expecting some surprises, and there were. (At first, I was excited about the prospect of a Breath of the Wild-series game by Capcom, unaware it was actually a Monster Hunter spinoff!) But they were not-for-me surprises. Pac-Man World 2 was the closest thing to a "hey...!" for me.

I'm sure it's a great Partner Direct if your primary (or only) platform was/is the Switch, and maybe you've just upgraded to a Switch 2. And if you're more into JRPGs, especially the HD 2D flavor, than I am. I'll share Deb's surprise that Sonic Crossworlds wasn't shown off, I was weirdly kind of expecting Shantae Advance to get some screentime with it just now getting a release date, and I figured this sucker would be fat-packed with Xbox games hitting the Switch 2. I dunno, it was also kind of bizarre that the campfire simulator got a huge amount of time, but a AAA blockbuster like Borderlands 4 was relegated to a few seconds in a montage.

The whole thing was kind of baffling given that this is the first Direct following the system launch, and with it generally being crickets from third parties throughout not-E3 season, I figured they were saving it all for this.

The demo for Adventure of Elliot is fantastic. Day 1 purchase, without question.

Due to "Market Conditions". I wonder if those conditions rhyme with "grump".
Also certain S2 accessories, select Amiibos, and the Nintendo Alarm Clock are also going up.

I guess they had to draw the line in the sand for the Switch 2 (or it should've been even cheaper and these shenanigans were priced in from the start)

One of the main reasons I bought a switch 2 even though I probably won't give it to my kids for a while is because I thought they would be harder to get and more expensive by Xmas.

The new Joy-Cons are part of that, increasing from $94.99 to $99.99, and the Joy-Con 2 straps are increasing a buck.

Crap… I was afraid of this. I’ve had the four new TotK Amiibos in my BestBuy cart for months now, and I just pulled the trigger on them. $30 a shot is steep, but if they go up anymore, I’d kick myself.

Still not getting a Switch 2 yet.

That's one of the reasons I bit on the S2 even though I wasn't 100% sure (and boy I'm glad I did), I was afraid of price going up.

$30 for amiibo is already absurd as it is.

Try 40 bucks for the SF ones. I have almost all of them and passed completely on the new ones (except the Donkey Kong one I brought over from Japan)

Considering they hadn't had any price drops since the original Switch launched 8 years ago, it's kind of ridiculous that they couldn't absorb a $30 tariff fee at this point near the end of the lifespan. Those original consoles used to drop $50 on a yearly basis, but now they are able to hold the price for the entire lifespan? Can you imagine buying a 10 year old laptop for the same price or more?

But I did break down and get the Switch 2 Pokemon bundle for my two daughters this past week since I didn't even know that bundle existed until I saw it on the Target website a couple days ago. It'll release close enough to Christmas that I can call it an early present.

Even just holding might be optimistic; the Xbox Series consoles both cost more now than they did at launch, and the PS5 has seen increases in other markets since launch (though not here, unless you count the digital slim being $50 more than the regular digital edition at launch).

I bit on a second pair of joycons because of the price increase tomorrow. I have a case with grips which flip out to take the joycon out but I don't want to keep doing that to the joycons and I use them in and out of the switch many times a day. Also glad I bit on the pro 2 controller, wake up function and headphone jack are worth the 85 bucks. I only paid 80 for new sw2 joycons on ebay from someone with a high rating.
