When I use the “register in calendar” feature in the Nintendo Today app, it says 9 AM (Eastern time, I assume).

I don’t know what you mean by “strictly streaming”, but I assume it’ll be presented the way every other Nintendo Direct has been.

Also, it's not like the moon landing -- you don't have to watch it live. It will continue to exist online forever. So I'm sure it will be linked here after it airs.

This video helped me out a lot figuring how to configure the HDR on the Switch 2. I thought my picture was washed out utilizing their instructions. Once I applied the changes in the video it looks A LOT better. Basically under your brightness settings. If you have the option, turn hgig on. If not you can follow his steps to get it looking a lot better.

There's also a setting under accessories to update your controllers. You won't get prompted upon normal startup like with PS5, but I had available updates to the joy cons and pro controller 2.

so, there is absolutely no reason I still need my SW1 hooked up, correct? And why do new games i buy on eShop going to my SW1 and not 2? I knew to download the virtual card on SW2 to get it but why wouldn't it automatically go to SW2? Thanks.

You get a choice of which Switch you want to download to when you check out.

I did not get a choice when I checked out. It defaulted to SW1. I’m gonna storage it soon, since it is just a paperweight now, it seems.

What games were they? I think there's still a very small select few games that don't work on the SW2 yet. And if they don't work at all I've heard they are not available in the eshop. And there are some that work but still have issues like Pikmin 3 is one of the bigger games that I've heard that has had some issues.

But other than that it seems like it's been a pretty smooth transition. I know this is pretty standard on other consoles or other devices but I believe this is the first time for a Nintendo console. I still wish they did more to spruce up the UI for the SW2. I really do miss the charm of the Wii and WiiU channels. Especially the music. I miss the music.

I am always on board with physical copies but I gotta admit, the virtual cards have made the decision harder. (Game loaning was always an important factor in having the physical copies)
