:)

But I agree with you. I think just that slight bit of texture on the previous pro controller was a lot better. I do love the improved thumbsticks on the Pro2. I haven't used the headset jack yet or the extra buttons.

And I HATE the price. I can't believe I was thrilled to pay $75 for a standard controller. -rolleyes-

geez. I'm glad i didn't tear that covering off the screen. Glass screen protector over it and it looks perfect. pretty cool that he got it back together.

Wait a second, they still didn't fix the drift issues with joycons? Or are we talking mainly the design and not people already having stick drift?

They did not implement the fix into the new Joycons. They still can develop drift. I assume doing the replacements is still a cheaper option for them.

I picked mine up from Best Buy this morning and is the same as the old one I except a little larger. It comes with some foam inserts to old the switch which is nice if you haven’t picked up a Switch 2 yet. Still an amazing value at $20.

Mine just arrived....and I don't like it either. Looks well made, but literally twice as thick as the Nintendo made one and probably three times as heavy (though I'm sure some of that weight is the foam insert for a Switch 1 as described above). In any case, I don't want a travel case that bulky and heavy inside of my travel backpack.
Hopefully that extra-small tomtoc one will work for me, whenever it finally gets here from Amazon

It is noticeably heavier than the one for the original switch, but if it protects the device in my backpack like the other one did then I’ll deal with it. Hopefully you can find one that works for you and doesn’t break the bank.

Does this one have the mesh for holding cartridge games?

i had the original Pro controller for SW1, but it was slippery as hell. There was no textured backing to help make it not slip from hands.

It may be slippery for you, but the SW1 Pro controller does have texture all around the handles, not just the back.

it's nothing like the XBOX Elite controller. those have grips made as the controller, the SW1 does not have that texture and it is still very slippery.

Well that Pro Controller 2 must slip out of your hand like a well-used bar of soap then.

So kind of a random question. I plan on buying digital going forward, but both of my kids still have the original Switch. If I was to buy the Switch 2 digital version of a game that is also released for the original Switch would they be able to play a compatible version? I get me not getting the Switch 2 version for games purchased for the first one, but hoped it would work in the opposite direction. Any idea?

I can share my digital games with my son, as he has my Switch 1. Either of us can "grab' a virtual card digitally and play the game. Just not at the same time. Not sure how it would work with multiple Switches though.

Seems like at least some of the ones that have an upgrade path allow you to do this but id do more research on it. If there are two completely separate versions and no upgrade path I don’t think it’ll work.
