that's a good question. I want all my games on my SW2 so I only have to turn on and use one machine. Wouldn't the synced Pro controllers turn both systems on automatically too?

This is true. we got a PS5 Pro, and had a real PITA time getting my son's saved games moved around, because of the limitations. ended up joining him on PS+ for a month and use Cloud saves.

I assume you can still only have one primary console. So the non primary console (whether that's your switch 1 or 2) will either have to log in to play digital games (and only on your account, nobody elses) or you have to use that new game loaning method. The benefit of the former is that you can play the same game at the same time (even coop if you go via internet) but you have to opt out of the game loan thing.

As far as controllers go, they are only synced up to one system at a time. At least on the switch 1 it's as easy as plugging it into the cord on the dock when you dock your switch to connect. It won't control two systems at once.

no, I mean being logged onto SW1 but playing solely on SW2. Can you be logged in and not playing Switch 1 game at all, just logged in, in case you want to go back and play a game will you have to sign back in and stuff if you were just logged on and playing on SW2? If that makes any sense (which I doubt).

Yes, one of the main reasons for cloud saves is so you can easily go back and forth between consoles (if you wanted)

not to belabor a point, but why would Amazon sell and ship a Nintendo Switch 2 game (Cyberpunk 2077) for a Jun 5 release, but nothing else?

Nintendo and Amazon are feuding right now (and have been for more than a year). Only third-party sellers are going to sell first-party Nintendo products, and you probably won’t see any of those listings until the games are actually out.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not a Nintendo game, so it can be up for preorder. You’ll see additional games from other companies, such as Sega’s Sonic X Shadow Generations and Spike Chunsoft’s No Sleep for Kaname Date, on Amazon right now as well. It looks like there are at least 12 Switch 2 games up for preorder at Amazon currently. You’ll see Switch 2 carrying cases, screen protectors, etc. from other manufacturers because they aren’t Nintendo products.

You’ll also see Nintendo first-party products on other Amazon sites because the disagreement is strictly with Amazon.com, not sites in other countries like France or Japan. You’ll see first-party Nintendo products on Amazon products like Woot because they’re from other regions (usually UAE), and Amazon US is only feuding with Nintendo of America.

Got charged again or got a preauth? Target is really weird with preauths they do it multiple times to make sure you have the money available. It's one reason why you should never use a debit card with them for a preorder.

They also routinely cancel preorder items by sending you emails at like 1 in the morning that are easily missed, and then after stringing you along for weeks just outright cancel because they really had no stock, but hopefully that's not the case here.

Yeah I’ve had this happen with Target, too. I ordered something like 6 months in advance and got a new preauth every few weeks. Frustrating,
but at least they came through in the end.

Costco will be selling the Pro Controller for $69.99, a $15 savings, once the system gets released. That's probably the smart move, even if you have to wait a bit for it.

The Wal-Mart order I have (controller and Mario/Console bundle for my nephew) still shows June 5th. Supposedly, by 9am that day.

Yeah, mine was made about an hour after pre-orders went live. Maybe that makes a difference?
Not that I really care about 5 days either way. But I kind of doubt they will have a bunch of Switch 2's available at launch, then a second bunch 5 days later? Maybe they're just covering their bases?
