Moving all the content to an external hard drive, then moving it back would take longer initially, but would be better especially if you have a data cap. Maybe move everything before bed, leaving your PS5 on and disabling auto-shutoff, and then move it back to the new SSD in the morning.

I’ll tell you what, if I don’t have to pay an arm and leg at traffic court tomorrow for a speeding ticket I got no joke almost 2 years ago. I thought they just forgot. I’m going to plead statute of limitations. 😜
But, if I don’t get killed, I’m getting the 4TB, but I dread the transfer process. I know I can redownload, but I’d lose my saves on games I’ve played, correct?

How do FPS games play on the PS5 vs XBSX? Any radical differences? I’ve yet to play one, but I’m eagerly anticipating. I would have done Immortals Aveum or wherever, but I only have EA on Xbox and 7.00 difference. We’ll see, but I know I love playing FPS on Xbox.

Pretty much the same unless they take advantage of the Dual Sense controller.

You can try Doom Eternal (or Doom) or play Deathloop. Those are top notch FPS for the PS5, and use Dual Sense force feedback, that are free with PS Plus Extra tier.

I did download Eternal, but I think I played and finished twice on Xbox and Deathloop I nearly got to the end, but fell short and have no desire to return. It was fun until I got to the final loop.

If you can find Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War (or whatever it’s called) for cheap, I was impressed by its use of the DualSense, and the campaign was up my alley.

I just pulled the trigger on the 2TB. Checked & only have 300GB left so why not. That price is pretty dang good.
Good luck in traffic court.

His point was, regardless of where the game data is stored, all game saves are stored on the main internal hard drive.
