Power button should be on your right

No, I'm not joking, that is what I had read from Sony's site when I put in my SSD.
If you are looking at the front the fatter part should be on the left.

The power button is on the left side of the front when right-side-up and horizontal. Music meant it should be on your right so you know you're taking off the bottom plate rather than the top.

so you want to remove the panel on the right in the pic.
This is usually done with the console horizontal, not vertical like you have it.

That is the right one.
They are really easy to take off and put back on.

Didn't you already install a 1TB before? I realize you replaced the faceplate after that but c'mon.

Gotcha. Yeah I’ve done it once before, actually took both faceplates once I got the black faceplate. But when I installed 1TB SSD I was still using the OEM Sony white faceplate and saw the logo at least. I’ve watched multiple videos now and since I did it once before, I’m not really sweating it. Just want to be sure so I don’t brick the PS5. But with OldBoy, you never know.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
You guys know I’m a gadget and accessory nut. I just bought the Backbone One Playstation Edition for Android,( which just came out last week) and tried it last night. It’s a controller that fits on your phone and enables Remote Play. It’s PS branded with their buttons and designed to look like a Dual Sense, but it also works with Google Play, Xbox, Game Pass Streaming, etc. It’s pretty nice and solid with good clicky buttons.

I tried it out last night (after taking the case off my Galaxy S23 Ultra, which was NOT easy). It works okay. I was able to play in my bedroom off the PS5 in the TV room downstairs. There was some lag. I could play Lego 2K Drive, but it wasn’t ideal. I tried to play Pinball FX and it was comical how badly it ran. For games with less need for a high frame rate like Midnight Suns, it did work okay, but the text was really hard to read (I ordered a pair of stronger magnifying glasses to use with the screen in the future). But for $99 it’s not bad. I got it from Best Buy and have that extended warranty thing — it’s pretty likely I will return it within the 2 years for a refund or maybe to get the Sony streaming product instead, but for now it’s pretty cool. I can’t imagine it works well at all outside of the house with the PS5. Haven’t tried it with the Game Pass Cloud service but suspect that will work better.

And the 4TB is installed and working perfectly. So nice, I’ll never have to worry now. Thought I had a problem with the HDD, but just a minor glitch.
