I'm not the expert there. If it's not legit, it's an impressive knock off.
If you need me to check or compare something, just ask.

Just stick it in the Switch and see if it works, that’s all that matters.

yeah, it’s legit, it downloaded just fine. All 3 games. Not sure which I want to start with though. I played 64 and sunshine, but never finished. I didn’t get a Wii so didn’t even know there was a Galaxy.

How come some carts need you to download software and some you don’t?

Cards are not terribly large, and nearly all games get patched at one point or another.

Today in disappointing news:

Nintendo is killing gold points. You won’t be able to accrue them after March 25th, but you’ll still have a year to use what you have by then.

Also, you won’t be able to use vouchers on Switch 2 exclusives.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Is there a way to totally delete a game and all save data? I ask because I wanted to play Super Metroid and when I opened it up, it was like I was n the middle of the game. I had a lot of the suit functions already and I swear I’ve never played it before. So, how can start a brand new game? I looked all through the menus and got a reset game, but it didn’t do anything. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why would you want to delete the game in this case, just delete the save data. Assuming you have nintendo online, go to system settings, all save data and delete the data in the cloud. However I'm confused on two things:
Super Metroid is a SNES game, I think saves are handled differently but it should be self explanatory.
If you're talking about Metroid Prime, don't you start off with everything then lose it? It's been a while so I don't remember. But if you're the only one playing the switch I don't see how someone else's save data could've gotten on your console, let alone your profile?

Oh, you're probably playing the SP version of super metroid which starts you with all weapons in the statues hallway. Scroll down to the non SP version of Super Metroid to start fresh.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

The 2D Metroid games are so great to play in handheld. I’m playing Super Metroid now for first time and it’s wonderful on the small screen. The last game I finished I think was Fusion on GBA or Zero Mission, I can’t remember.

This might already be common knowledge, but I just discovered it today. Sam's sells Nintendo Switch Online membership cards for $18. So for anyone wanting to stack up before the inevitable price increase (I think you can stack up to 3 years), you can save $2 on each one. Didn't think to check for the family membership cards.

Last day for MAR10 Day sales.

I thought about getting Luigi's Mansion 2 HD on sale, but I haven't finished 3 yet and I hear that 2 is not nearly as good.

What does it mean when on Nintendo site, a game can be purchased but it’s a “cloud version”?

There are a few games that are too graphics-intensive to run on the Switch, so they are actually running on a processor and streaming to a Switch, while connected to the internet. I know Hitman is like that. There are a few others.
Long story short : Don't buy one of those games .

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Oh really? I was thinking of Kingdom Hearts and the Switch versions are the cheapest and most content. But again, those are both cloud versions. Maybe I’ll just go Xbox route.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Didn't the 57 score on Metacritic tip you off?

I think all cloud Switch games have trials so you can see how they perform on your system. But yes, a much better idea would be getting them on the PS5 or Xbox.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I gotta say, I’m hooked on the Super Nintendo version of Metroid. It’s so addicting. Like the NES version but amped up to 11. I can’t even get to AC: Shadows bc this one has me in my grips. I’m a Metroid fan always and to play these older versions I never played is such a treat. This game alone and time invested is worth the $50 or whatever membership is.

Was Super Metroid praised at the time? I find it a wonderful entry and am so pleasantly addicted.
