I assume you mean Switch exclusive ones. There are things like Doom and Wolfenstein, but there's no reason to buy or play then on the Switch if you have a PS5. The performance of Switch games is always below that of an XSX or PS5, so I don't recommend you get those games on the Switch.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Nintendo's Black Friday deals are now live.

I ordered Pikmin 1 + 2. Amazon won't deliver it until next weekend unfortunately.... I'm excited to play it. I was always intrigued by Pikmin when the series first came out, but I didn't have a Gamecube. I'm going to try to get Tears of the Kingdom for $29.99 when it goes on sale at Walmart tomorrow.

It's not "mature" but Splatoon 3 is a great FPS. Not that I want to add yet another thing to a backlog that won't be played...

edited to add: doh! I forgot it's a third person shooter. Ah well.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword...for this game, I know it uses the joy cons for some motion activity. Can this game be played without the joy cons and simply use a regular controller that are not the joy cons? Thanks.

That’s what I thought. I figured I was missing something. 😉

There’s tons but nothing worth playing if you have literally any other system.

Although I wish they were because Nintendo Online is SO much cheaper than the other guys.

Splatoon is great. Very addictive. There’s a horde mode called Grizzco that’s the best (worst?) mix of frustrating and addictive.

got it today. I had bought a cheaper one, but I could feel the heft immediately with the official Pro controller. I definitely liked it. I did put my grips on them too. They weren’t as textured as I thought, but I could tell vs. the other 3rd party Pro controller that this was built better. Almost like the difference with the regular Xbox controller vs the elite model. Elite model definitely better, than what almost feels the a plastic toy. But yeah, I’m gonna like the Pro. I can tell already, even though I’ve yet to enjoy the Switch as of yet. But I have the rest of week off and plan to give it plenty of attention.

Dear Lord, when did you even have time to buy another controller? I told you to try the Joy Con with holders and you still bought a Pro before your Switch even arrived.

Nice, thanks for the reminder. I bought a digital copy and got the code immediately from walmart, clicked the enclosed link and it's added to my switch game library. Very easy transaction.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Is there any harm closing out of a game, but still have it in play mode? Is that just like a quick resume feature or is it best to close out completely? Thanks.

Perhaps buy a Google Search button with your credits...

Just type the question there instead of here, it's not that hard.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I don't really understand the question, but if it's basically "Is it okay to turn the system off while in a game", then the answer is "Yes". There's no hard drive, so no HD to mess up.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

basically, what i was asking is when you play a game and then want to stop and go back to home screen, in the little square box, it still says "Play" over the game i was playing. i was trying to ask if i can leave it on Play and shut off or put to sleep my Switch? and, can you open another game while another game is still in Play mode?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Sure you can do that. There's no quick resume, so make sure you saved your game recently first.
