I always do instore pickup with Best Buy since I have one 2 minutes from my house. I got my preorder code right after my confirmation that I picked it up email today.

Swapped mine out with a non-mutilated copy in-store. Played about an hour. Looks gorgeous. I think they do the same thing that certain animated movie tie-in games do (Lego Movie Game comes to mind) where they use movie scenes as in-game cutscenes. Those are a little jarring as they look a little different than the in-game engine. But the in-game engine produces some amazing graphics and Captain Quark does some Bastion-like in-game narration of your gameplay, which is cool.

Played the first two worlds. It's so so so good. At GCU or Prime pricing its a total no brainer if you're even a mild fan of the series. I really do hope Insomniac is working on a full fledged sequel.

I do too, and if this game and the movie is the least bit successful, it should be guaranteed. I think they're done with the Resistance games.

Only bummer is that it seems like this game is only about 6 hours long.

6 hours seems like an exaggeration to me. I played about 2.5 last night and only wrapped up the first 3 planets. It probably depends on how much you're exploring and messing around.

I'm enjoying it a lot so far. One of the reviews I read yesterday was complaining about the controls, but they feel perfect to me. Also, I had preordered at Best Buy and didn't get the Bouncer code yesterday, but it did come through this morning.

Insomniac acknowledged that if you're just tearing through the game on Casual/Normal with little-to-no exploration, you could knock it out in 5-6 hours, although they don't consider that typical.

Well, someone has already done a 2 hour speed run of Dark Souls 3 so that length doesn't bother me too much. Will get it sooner than later.

I played about an hour last night up to the first proper planet. Gorgeous looking game and controls felt fine. I'm not sure how the cards are gonna fit in as it just seems like a tacked on feature.

Is there a new game + like how the past R&C had? Those were always a blast to play.

Finally was able to fire up the game this morning, and, oh, man, you're dead on.

I have it fully maxed now and it's comical how overpowered it is. One shot will clear a room of tough enemies.

Yeah I keep it on my arsenal in case I need it but since I have it level 5 I try to use the other weapons as much as possible to level them up. If there was no weapon leveling I would pretty much only use the Bouncer.

I love that they brought back Mr. Zurkon. Though it seems like he has less lines than last time.

That saddens me a bit considering how much I love Mr. Z. He's so funny to me.

Wrapped it up yesterday. So very awesome. The most enjoyable experience I've had with the hobby so far this year.

How long of a game is it?

IGN says 15 hours. It's not a short game like Into The Nexus, that's for sure.
