I've never bought before and here is what I see minus the lowest tier:

Logan's Loonies - 2900 + 600 free = 3500 coins for $19.99
Asgard Treasure - 8500 + 1500 free = 10,000 coins for $49.99
Stark Salary - 20,000 + 5000 free= 25,000 coins for $99.99

There was a sale a little while ago for the game reaching 2 million downloads or something.

That's what I currently see too, for 22 more hours. So if someone is going to purchase the coins, it should be someone with the deal showing probably.

So if a current Alliance member made a first time purchase of $50, they could unlock spots 12 - 17 and would have 1300 hero points left over. Or, if they already had 500 hero points, they could kick those in and unlock up to 18. I'm not keen on dropping too much more money on this, but would throw in another $5 via Paypal. I think that'd put us at:

I'm part of a very small alliance (two other friends), and I'd hate to dump them. I also doubt they would come over.

no on multiple alliances and i'm pretty sure you can't have multiple accounts.

You can have multiple accounts if you have one on tablet (Android or iOS) and one on PC (Steam). Currently there's no way to link the platforms.

fyi, if we do decide on someone to buy these, we should get someone that is playing on ios. usually retailers have a itunes sales on gift cards quite frequently. you can usually get a 10% - 20% discount.

Because of the amazon comixology mess, it's not like I have much else to spend the hundreds of dollars of discounted itunes cards on...

Amazon bought comixology. Two days ago, with no warning, they decide to close down their old app and put a new app in the ios store. Because they don't want to pay the 30% purchase fee to Apple, the new app doesn't have a store... at all. So no way to buy comics from them with itunes credit (this is similar to their Kindle app). That was by far the biggest use of itunes credit on my account.

I was half kidding, I'm not going to blow it all on this game, at least not until the next sale comes around...

Ah shit, that blows. I got that email from Comixology about the new app, but I didn't know Amazon bought them, makes a lot more sense now. Smart move on their part.

I'd be up for kicking in $5 as well.. I joined in when there was a couple open spots.. I enjoy the game and play a bit daily, but not as much as others in the group. These match games tend to frustrate me at times, so I can't play for really long periods, but I do play enough to help out some with the events and get my daily rewards.

Hey all. I'm the guy who created the alliance the Dave was originally in. I wanted to offer up my services just in case you wanted them. I've got a 141 Punisher, a 141 IM40, 92 Hulk, 86 Modern BW and and 85 OBW. I've got a Magneto with full powers, just need to level him. Look up Cleptic if you want to see my full roster. I've been playing the game from launch and I'm usually in the top 5 of any PvP tournaments where there are rewards that I'm interested in. I will admit that I don't do very well in the PvE tournaments. The scaling is crazy hard for high level players. I can pay for my spot via paypal or with coins. I understand if you all want to keep this to board users only. I've known Dave via a different message board for years, so he can vouch for me.

Ok, I updated my post above based on responses. We've got $40-$45 spoken for so far. Anyone know of a store/site currently selling iTunes giftcards for 10% - 20% off? If so, we just need to figure out who's going to get the money & make the purchase.

And as a thank you, here's a tip for making the most of the game. Don't join the PvP tournaments right away. I usually wait at least 24 hours. Your hardcore players tend to join right away, so waiting gives you an easier field to advance in. I tend to get up to 600 or 700 points right away and coast until about 5 hours before the tournament ends. If I have the time, I'll play for the next two hours and get to around 3rd or 4th place then shield myself with the 3 hour shield. You're pretty much guaranteed a top 10 placing at that point. You'll still get some coins and you'll be helping out your alliance because you won't get smacked around for those last 3 hours and lose a ton of points.

Now I know why at times I get a bunch of "you've been challenged and lost" updates from the game. Many of the PvP stuff I can't/don't play. Either I'm missing a required character or the levels of the team that others used is way too high and I'd not stand a chance.
